Knowing that Wood and Barnes were out, I actually think Zinchenko was the better choice at left back as neither Vydra nor Rodriguez are going to bully Zinchenko at the back post. Plus, his passing in the build up phase is better than Laporte’s. If Laporte is there to counter Burnley’s giants, that’s weird as they are not there! But it’s still a very nice team regardless and Zinchenko is always there on the bench if we are struggling with the build up in any way. Come on City!

I can only think he's relying on Cancelo to get forward more and play through the middle

I agree. Funny though it seems to always take our new attacking signings two seasons to get going. Mahrez, Bernardo, Sané.

Yep, learning Pep's system as an attacking player must be a real challenge.

Torres is exactly at the stage he needs to be, a young kid in a new country, getting to know Pep and his team-mates, with plenty of time on his side.
