Burnley fans applauding Tevez

Really top draw support (bar a few walk-outs) even 5-0 down they kept cheering their team on... Our support would be booing and having a go at the players in that situation.

We should learn from their spirited support and incredible dignity if we want to truly be the best fans in the land (and all the world)

Were you not there at the 8-1 Boro. Bar the result, one of the best away days in recent years. Non-stop singing (mostly in support for Sven and taking the piss out of ourselves) all the way through the second-half, then when Elano scored to make it 5-1 me and those around me celebrated like we'd scored a last minute winner. Quality stuff.

But anyway... yeah saw them applaud Tevez, quite a lot of the ground did. Some people also applauded Ade when he was subbed too. Fair play to them, fantastic support from the many who stayed.

Was going to say this, despite the result it was a fantastic away day. Yesterday really reminded me of it.

most teams do this,
if you noticed yesterday it was all hiss and boo up
to the third goal, then the real fans kick in and say fuck it lets support the team
regardless. the ass hole type supporter walks out after 20mins.

It's a myth that nobody ever used to moan before the takeover and now we moan like fuck...we've always had our share of moaners, but our share of great supporters as well, nothing's changed as far as I can tell. People just remember what they want to remember.

I'm positive if we'd been 4-0 down after 20 mins yesterday the majority of fans would have started taking the piss out of ourselves. It comes to a point sometimes when you just have to have a sense of humour about your team, you'd fucking commit suicide otherwise.

remember the that bloke who through his season ticket away and the club sent it back to him wonder if he is still a season ticket holder

Seem to remember the next time we played Arsenal they came to the centre circle before the game and applauded the City fans

Also on Monday night the Wigan CF who played well got applauded when he came off, e included.

Or when you go 2 down with 10 minutes left at home when fighting for 4th spot and being unbeaten until the penultimate month of the season.

Fair play to Burnley fans. Shame the cameras didn't pick up on this.

Bollocks. Arsenal during the King Kev era, ring any bells? 4-0 down after twenty minutes and we just decided to make a party of it.

Not that the Burnley fans aren't good. I've always liked them and for me they're the best fans of the 'Lancashire' clubs. Fair play to them, but to say out support has never done the same in the same situation is a plain lie or ignorance.

I'm not talking about the past - I'm talking post ADUG... Some of the comments on here and the shouts from the crowd when we've been playing poorly have been atrocious.

Another Blue who wants to do down our own fans.

I don't think there's been any significant change in our support apart from the rise of these naysayers.

You live in a fantasy world I'm afraid

We were 6-0 down to Chelsea and we were singing 'You'll never score a seventh'.
and the chelsea fans were silent.
