Burnley (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I can hold my hands up and say he had all the potential in the world but I thought he'd never have the end product, I remember someone describing his dribbling as someone who was tryna flick a cat off his foot when he was tryna beat his man.

Forgive me if I'm wrong 'ufo' but have you backed Doku whilst he's been consistently wasteful in the final third over the past 18 months
..If you have absolutely fair enough but I don't recall many people on here backing him over the last 18 months.
I think a lot of fans have been patient. I think he has been steadily improving. He plays with his head up now and picks out passes. Pep has clearly been working his magic. Sadly Sav has gone the other way.

No he isn't.

Pleased he scored but come on, that right side was non existent today.

A better team destroys him and Sav'

Making a good recovery run and tackle is not that great, when you are the reason the situation happened in the first place.
Are you allergic to gluten ?

The only city players I ever prayed we signed , doku and ferny.
Also Im not religious nor atheist

And he dived (again), got fouled near the touchline in the first half and fell down in a heap unnecessarily. Needs to get this stuff out of his game.
It is.entrenched.in.him.
He cannot stop doing it.
He does it in training .Other players are sick of him tbh.
The sooner he fucks off the better.

Once Marmoush/Cherki is back the attack will be balanced again. ATM our threat is only coming from the left

This is s great post. I love how you used the parallel aspect of anal to highlight the result. 99% of people wouldnt have come up with that. Perhaps even 99.9%. I also feel like your choice of font is exceptional in its default. Five great words plus a pair of full stops is utter genius. And to go black font shows an element of inclusion and diversity. Hats off. My only complaint would be in what is left unsaid but implied. 8.5 out of 10 though for effort. Well done. You did all forum members proud today. Thanks.
Now that is a funny reply. No sarcasm here I genuinely laughed.

Never a pretty game versus Burnley. Well done to the lads for stepping up on 60 to take it away from them.
Doku really coming into his own now.and deserving of his starting birth.
Nunes. Well done. I have criticised him but he made me eat my words yesterday. Big Erl just keeps doing his thing.
Nico superb in the Rodri role.
Only negative for me was Savinho. Just looks way to weak for the premier league. Personally I would move him on but that's only my opinion. Again hope he turns it around.

Thought we really struggled in the first half and to me it was down to the midfield. Nico and Reijnders just weren't moving the ball quickly enough and the wingers were far too isolated.

Second half was much improved. Thought Doku was excellent again, we need far more from Savinho and Bobb though. At this point the right hand side is barely non existent.

I've watched every game so far this season...do you think the change in attitude (an improvement, Savinho excepted) could be down to the fact that the team in general are now realising that they can't rely on KDB to pop up with a moment of genius to save the day/produce FOR them, but instead they're working together better as a team to produce for each other? KDB is (imo) the best thing that's happened at City in years, but now he's gone and our style has changed, players are working just a bit harder for each other? Ive noted the change in Haaland especially, but I also reckon Doku, Phil, and others have really upped their game...

The introduction of Bobb completely changed the game, far more direct and played with intensity, linking up well with Nunes.

Genuinely interested about him doing it in training or other players being sick of him?

He is dramatic i agree

Good opening 25 mins then drifted a bit until HT and the first 10 mins of the 2nd half. Once we upped the tempo things improved and the goals came. Anyway glad we put 5 past the tossers due to their fans being gobshites on the tram on the way there.
Why do some fans do that, weird.

Just enjoy your day out

Didn't liverpool struggle against them recently?

They're a hard team to break down.

We struggled to figure them out but once we did...

I’m more critical of Savinho for that, lazy jogging back. Then Nunes fails to stop the cross and Dias doesn’t deal with it. Shambles all round, but Sav didn’t follow his man at all.
Definitely, Nunes is playing out of position and he isn’t going to stop every cross, he is trying. Dias and Savinho are playing in their positions and should do better, both of them did not have good games despite the scoreline.
