Burnley (H) | Post-Match Thread

a few soul destroying minutes is the best you can hope for.

By the way, if you actually think Cole Palmer is anything other than delighted at being involved today, you're a joke.

His second ever league appearance as a professional. He'll be absolutely buzzing, bouncing off the walls, just like Phil was every time he got a run out at the beginning.

Soul Destroying? Fucking joke.

Important 3 points after the international break. Need Mahrez to get in form as quickly as possible with Ferran out for a long time. We need all of them to be at their best for the upcoming fixtures.

I know it's early in the season, but sterling and mahrez form/attitude is becoming a major concern.
A continuation will result in lost points.
I'm not one for calling players to look elsewhere, but the team will suffer if things don't change.
There are players lining up to be in that team, desperate to be given a chance. Pep needs to get them back on track, or get them out in January.
It pains me to say this, but opportunities have been given time and again.

Great 3 points after the international break. First 20 minutes I was wondering how many we would score. After that and with Burnley pressing so far up the pitch we lost momentum. This is why Ederson is so important to us.
Good performances from Bernie, Cancelo and Rodri but KDB looked half a yard off the pace.

Generally agree.

Sterling did not get much service. There seems a change in the pattern of play with an emphasis on crosses in the box a la scouse.

Agreed something is not right.
yeah sterling just didnt get himself into the game....whether that is down to him or the team performance and tactics just not clicking......probably a mix of both but he does seem to have lost that zip/sparkle to his movement and play
