There’s a very large Asian community in Burnley, and when I lived there they were treated like shit, especially when it came to employment prospects. A horrible town with generally horrible racist people.Their only redeeming feature is that not many of them support the scumThe worst abuse I have seen Sterling get was at Burnley after an England tournament. I was on the closest row to the home fans in that split stand. They abused him the whole game chanting Engerland....Engerland... followed by you're not fit to wear the shirt. The ones near me were almost spitting with venom. They didn't make monkey chants but it felt very racially motivated. It was worse than he even got at Anfield. It made me feel sick and I left the game early. You don't see many Asian or Black fans at Turf Moor.

I can only speak as I found the place. I worked at a VERY large employer in the town for 7 years and they never employed an Asian worker in all that time. The word Paki was used all the time. People in Burnley that I knew hated people from Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Blackburn (of course). They even hated people from Nelson and Colne,from Padiham,which is in Burnley!Cheers mate ;)
