3-5-2 is okay as long as Kolarov isn't one of those 3. Kompany aside, we basically have 2 centre backs so it's always likely he will feature be it 3 or 4.

If Kompany was fit I'd feel much more confident with him alongside John and Otamendi. Use Sane and Sterling as wing backs. Silva/De Bruyne/ Fernandinho centrally with Sergio and Gabriel up top.

That for me will be our strongest formation/team but Kompany and persistent injuries just fuck the entire thing over.

We desperately need a CB and 2 new full backs.

Its Burnley! We are aiming to win the Champions League, surely we can't be worried about a team that hasn't won away all season???.......

Pretty much agree. Aguero only really works as a striker in a pair. I think we also need a top quality DM as well to make sure we win the second and third ball from hoofs upfield.

Bravo
Sagna Stones Kolarov Clichy
Sterling KDB Dinho Silva Nolito
Aguero

3-0 City.
Would prefer same back four that was doing so well before the Liverpool game. So ota in place of stones. And I'm Tempted to see if playing one of kdb or silva instead of both. Both need the ball to really excel and neither truly great playing on the wing. Not too bothered if both play though. Hoping aguero step up this match. He had plenty of rest

Assuming Sane isn't fit, i'd go with this.

-----------------Bravo--------------
Sagna Otamendi Stones Clichy
-------Fernandinho Garcia-------
Sterling --- De Bruyne -- Nolito
----------------Aguero--------------

Subs: Caballero, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Fernando, Silva, Navas, Iheanacho

Can't be arsed with wholesale changes. We simply don't look like scoring many goals at the moment and i don't think throwing Navas and Fernando into the mix will improve things however fresh they are. Really think this is the kind of game where Garcia should be getting a start, and unless it's a total disaster, we let him build on it by playing again at West Ham in an otherwise full strength team. He's never going to make it with us if we're never prepared to play him in a meaningful game or let him follow up on promising performances.

With the league title looking a highly unrealistic aim this season now, Pep should have one eye on who will and won't be around next season and try to play those players as much as possible. With Garcia, maybe he's not up to it, but at least if we establish this now, we've got a few weeks to find him a suitable loan. But he looks like a Pep footballer to me - much more so than Fernando and Delph, and despite his recent form, it's probably best to plan for life without Toure. Not saying we take finishing in the top four for granted, but i don't want to see the likes of Kolarov and Navas keeping Stones and Sane out of the team from now on.

I can see where you're coming from, but I still believe it will all click, and someone is going to get a pasting. We are heading in the right direction I have no doubt about that. Hopefully 3 points tomorrow, but Burnley are a solid aggresive side that will run as a team 2 miles further than us.

We have to win this game end of!! Come on City.
Well Ed I hope you are right. But from what I saw against the dippers we aint goin anywhere soon. A totaly dijointed display from start to finish.
Liverpool coasted it really and just let up tap the ball around harmlessly a joke really. The manager cut a frustrated almost bewildered figure
in the technical areas to such an extent that he forgot to make any substitutions. To be honest and I hope I am wrong Pep looks like a guy who
has bitten off more than he can chew and short of a lot an awful lot of expenditure over the next couple of years he has little chance of trying to put in place whatever it is he is trying to do.
Should he be given more time of course. I said back last summer that the fixtures in Dec/Jan would define our season and Im afraid they have. Difficult games coming up against Everton
and Spuds which coul

Hope you are right Ed but I saw nothing against pool to suggest anything is on the horizon. I think Pep knows what he wants alright its just that it will take a lot,
an awful lot of expenditure to get there. He cut a somewhat bewildered figure the other night to such an extent I think he might of forgot to make substitutions.
I said last summer two periods would define our season Dec/Jan and Mar/April when we face the dippers, renters and gooners in succession. We had a poor December so
a big January is required if we are to stay in touch but not sure we have enough in the tank. Patience a lot of it will be required imo.

Not gonna happen, and I'll probably need a tin hat for suggesting it, but it'd be interesting to see Sterling and Iheanacho as a front 2. There's been a few occasions this season where those two have linked up really well and they seem to be on the same wavelength. Sorry Sergio...

Is giving Tosin some EPL experience a better option than persevering with Kolarov?
And why have we sent out young fullbacks out on loan? Is that a ploy by Pep to put pressure on buying fullbacks in this window?
