Burnley (h) pre-match thread

I hope Liverpool win against Spurs, so we can cheer a Spurs win over United the coming weekend. We need to build a proper gap against Spurs over the next couple of weeks.

Yes Burnley got some good results earlier in the season, they've also struggled to even get a point against West Ham at home after Andy Carroll got his second yellow in the 27th minute.

Its tough to pick but I would say rotation is seriously needed, some players looked destroyed towards the end of the match last night.

• Don't think we extended Yaya just to play him in the FA and League cups.
  
• Sterling came off because he was saved for this game, Sane stayed on because he will sit it out IMO. Sterling full match here and rest vs Wolves.
  
• Walker needs a rest and Danilo needs a start in his preferred position.
  
• Start Gundogan, its his time. There is an argument for Bernardo instead but why rush him? Would rather he is brought on early here then starts against Wolves

Keep the same team and use subs where appropriate, not bothered about the carriboo cup, could play the eds in that game for all I care about that competition. Need to be focused for the WBA game.

Saturday would be TOO soon, for Foden. Seeing as he's in India.

Do you not think that Spanish Dave might be rested after his head injury last night? Anyone heard how he is?

Looked like a minor scalp wound , if he could play immediately afterwards I'd be amazed if he needed resting at the weekend.

We can rest players against Wolves if we have to, but we can't afford to drop points in the league. Burnley have already won at Chelsea and Everton and got draws at Liverpool and Spurs. No fucking about, get it won!
