I rarely bother with the pre match thread but as I’m laid up on the settee I’ve wondered in today. @malg was posting his 1-1 score lines the last time I bothered and that was about 4 years ago.
That 1 1 prediction did actually happen once.

Good team. Irrespective of the fact that some key players need a rest, we can't have other players (Nunes and Lewis) going too long without actively playing.

Eccles Blue arriving in peace. :-)

Does the poll always close at almost half time? By that time we could be 6-0 (at home) or 0-6 (away from home) therefore making a bit of a mockery of the poll. (See the reason for me coming in peace?)

I ask mainly because of the reason stated above and also to show how much I read the introductions to Match Result Predictions. :-)

That is mainly because I don't like to predict as I consider myself a jinx on the team if I do.

Apologies @MCFC1993 for not taking more notice of your hard work. :-)
Unfortunately you can only set the poll deadline by the hour, day or month from when you are creating the thread. I always try to choose the hour closest to kick off. Bit of an oversight on this one, should have picked 19:06 instead of 20:06.

We are easing him in, surely. No need to push him for more than 20-30 mins against Burnley at home.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I fully understand the reasons why and didn’t expect him to start but it doesn’t stop the disappointment. Feels like an eternity since I watched him strutting his stuff. I miss him.

Was he "fuming" or just having his usual discussion about something.

I'll go "rested".
Seriously. Every time the media says he was fuming or lecturing, if you happen to get a close up he looks like he always does - wildly enthusiastic. And rarely does he end the convo without a hug/pat on the head/etc.

I think he’ll understand that he isn’t better than Kevin De Bruyne and therefore doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The other midfielder has to defend next to Rodri and Phil can’t do that. So if Kevin is playing he either plays on the wing, as false 9, or not at all. Just life in a team that has the best midfielder on the planet.
Grealish isn't better than Foden, yet he maintained his starting role last year because of his form rather than his level of talent.

Quieter than usual at the ground. Got a beer with no queueing. I'm piss wet though. Traffic terrible, blue lights blocked the road and my usual route so turned round and through Woodhouses. Hope it's worth it, a good result. I'm sure it will with the team we have out (cracking bench if changes required).
