Burnley - Post Match Thread

Got there in the end. Some mixed performances out there today. Fernandinho,Fernando and Otamendi were solid and of course Aguero was sharp around the 6 yard box. Was impressed with the battling attitude of the team. However, not sure whats going on with our wing play. Bought two speedy wingers who are void of any idea what to do with the ball. Thought Sterling was poor, infact he's done nothing really to change my mind that he's just an expensive version of Aaron lennon. Poor decision making and unable to cross a ball or take a decent dead ball kick.

Wow I had several heart attacks in that 2nd half!

Not the best performance today but I'm not arsed, the end of the day we've scrapped out a scruffy win at Burnley after playing on Wednesday and after falling behind today.

3 points, top of the league...Jobs a Goodun!

Can't believe BT sports praising negative, clogging route one tactics,, FFS
One team deserved the win and it was us, great 3 points, it ain't always going to be pretty

Same in Oz. Kevin Kilbane and the main commentator must have mentioned it at least 10 times during the broadcast...only one did they say "he might have been offside".
Also ignored the fact that Aguero was played onside when he chipped the keeper (played onside by the fullback). Doesn't tell right story though so fuck it.

Its the English mentality unfortunately and why the national game is light years behind the rest of the world in the main.

Huff, puff, run about like a headless chicken and play for the set piece.
Don't forget to kick or throw it as high as you possibly can so your big lads have plenty of time to wrestle for the ball when it eventually starts coming down, that's crucial. Any team that considers a freekick inside their own half as an attacking set piece should probably just give up the pretense of being a football club

Ugly win but we'll happily take it. Marriner was effectively a 12th man for them. Very unfair dishing of cards.
defense looked all over the shop, middle meh got bullied at times, but we won and thats all that counts after a champions league.

Can someone who watched on telly confirm though as I was in the ground and couldnt hear them but a mate just text said Sagna was getting some bad abuse and some of it was racist
If he was, I didn't hear it come through personally. Loudest stuff to come through the tv was the chanting to Sterling that he'd let his country down.

terrible as biased twas all "burnley can get at this city side" never stopped talking about the non pen , francis when Sergio got booked "hes lucky not to be sent off for clapping the referee" , when otter got booked it was the " correct decision" couldnt believe some of the shite they came out with , and thats without my blue tinted view
Are these the same commentators from the rags game on Thursday who had an orgasm every time they passed the ball 10 yards? Today justified the bias.

ours should have been the late game , why did we agree to the early kick off when chelsea didnt play midweek and spurs played tuesday ffs

Poor at times, two scrappy goals, but a wins a win, when you consider we only got home draws against Everton, Boro and Southampton having played much better, I'll take this win against a team who consider playing us as a cup final.

And it was BT that made us play early Saturday after Wednesday night in Germany.

This.

Bunch of fucking rag/scouse licking arsewipes. Even interfering with the fixtures in their favour.

I can't believe the number of fucking morons in this thread moaning about the selection under the circumstances. It's as if the last two years never happened & they learned nothing.

At last we have a manager who is at least trying to see the whole picture & 'manage'.

Today was the sort of battling game which wins titles, irrespective of the names who played.

We failed to beat them at all last time they were in our league.

Boyd should've seen red too for a studs up karate kick (he missed) but stood on Sagna's ankle. This would be on a Sky loop by now if he was a blue.
