Burnley - Post match thread

Just back from the game. Happy with the win but boy do we make hard work of it. Atmosphere is no existent, the football at times is turgid.

There seems to be something seriously wrong at the moment and just seen that Pep interview and he seems to be losing it

Pep said Bravo would have been judged to be FOULED in other leagues. Pep DID NOT say Bravo was at fault. Fouled was lost in Pep's pronunciation as fault.

He's more than happy to apply the laws of the game in regards to a red card but totally ignores the same laws when dishing out yellow cards. How Ward did not get sent off is either incompetent refereeing or corrupt refereeing, its as simple as that.

He went straight through the back of Iheanacho with a slide challenge again its a yellow card every day of the week

He grabbed Kun's shirt when he had rolled past him and broke away again its a stonewall yellow card

He then dived in on Silva and wiped him out in a dangerous area which again should have been a yellow card.

I'm one of those people who think that football has gone soft and get pissed off at every challenge being a yellow card. However, late, cynical and challenges from behind always result in a yellow card.

It was supposed to be sarcasm, as he didn't have a clue and seemed to be getting a lot of help from elsewhere.
I agree he was total shit and do not need a run down of his shitness. I watched it.
 
A slightly tetchy interview from Pep Guardiola with Match of the Day.

He has been asked if it was a mistake not to start with Sergio Aguero and David Silva.

"Sure it was a big mistake, you are right."

But you made the change...

"Yes. I am intelligent."

The latter possibly said with a touch of irony.

Fully agree mate, but the lads done well when called upon at CB, we are severely short of options, something I'm sure will be addressed, as I'm writing this West ham player sent off another fucking shocking decision!!
 
Still don't think Pep is as good a manager as he thinks he is but that was one of the best interviews i've ever seen, didn't say anything incriminating but they will know full well what he meant by everything said so credit to him.
 
While the referees are not accountable they will continue to get away with guessing some of the 50/50 decisions. Thought he was very poor and seemed to give us nothing.

Video referees must come into play eventually. Doesn't slow up other sports and takes away the guesswork.
 
Good Win. Hopefully some others drop points. On a side note. Was reading the in game thread for 1st time in a while and Jesus Christ won't be doing that again! some of you lot need to grow up, You're grown fucking men and are slagging players off as if they're members of Isis or some shit. This btw was only after a few mins. Bet the mods are going bald.
 
Well, let's face it we've been fucking poor for a while, dropping silly points all over the place. Liverpool are allegedly ripping everyone apart with their swashbuckling brand of football. We're 2 points behind them.......
