Probably. It wouldn't be classed as violent conduct. And isn't violent conduct the only offence that carries an automatic 3 game ban?

Nah, Tella goes on to walk the ball in without the keeper sticking out his leg. Absolutely a last man DOGSO.

Prevented a certain goal, right decision.

Maybe right decision but its a rule i don't like. Foderingham was clumsy to bring Tella down but i don't think he deserved to be sent off.

Seems to have had a "Road to Damascus" turnaround.

He's been great this season on the whole and pulled off some really important saves. Will be a big test for him this season as former City keeper Bazunu has found out.

Bazunu has nothing in front of him. Thankless job this season.
Made a good save from Grealish only to see Grealish banging it in on the follow up.
Burnley defence may be better, hopefully.

Seriously? That's the scenario the "denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity" rule was brought in for. The ironic thing is that if it had been in the area, he might not have got the red card, as Burnley would have got the penalty. And if the ref decided it was a genuine attempt to play the ball (as opposed to a shirt pull or a rugby tackle), he wouldn't be sent off (the double jeopardy rule). He, or his manager, can have no complaints. And the manager did look resigned to it.

The sending off has ruined the game. Sheff United look like they'll be backs to the wall now hoping to hold on for a point. I can only see Burnley taking advantage of ten men though and it's only a matter of time before they rattle on their onion bag.

Yeah, Saints have been poor, especially in defence hence why they look doomed.

Burnley looked solid in defence till THB got injured but now he's hopefully recovered from his injury. Next season will be interesting if he stays with them because it will determine whether he's good enough to be recalled or not. We'll wait and see.
