Maybe right decision but its a rule i don't like. Foderingham was clumsy to bring Tella down but i don't think he deserved to be sent off.
The problem with not having the rule is players would be intentionally tripping attackers through on goal much more often if they knew they’d just get a yellow.

Makes a mockery of the game.
 
Seriously? That's the scenario the "denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity" rule was brought in for. The ironic thing is that if it had been in the area, he might not have got the red card, as Burnley would have got the penalty. And if the ref decided it was a genuine attempt to play the ball (as opposed to a shirt pull or a rugby tackle), he wouldn't be sent off (the double jeopardy rule). He, or his manager, can have no complaints. And the manager did look resigned to it.
Yeah, no malice in the tackle and i thought a red was harsh, like I said.
