Burnley desperately need a goal scorer if vinny takes them up, last few teams to come up have spent over £100m, could never see a burnley board doing that, hope for vinny’s sake i’m wrong?

Might be true as far as Harwood-Bellis is concerned, but a very good friend of mine who is a lifelong Burnley fan, who has followed them all over the country, and was at Old Trafford the other night with his dad, simply held his hands up and said that they weren't the same quality. They're doing o.k., for where they are in their present development.
As I said to him, after I was with him to see them beat Norwich at Turf Moor in October, if Vin takes them up, I think he's got to be backed by their board at least to be able to get a quality striker. Someone who will put the simple chances away. It's painfully obvious that they're lacking that at present. Even against United that might have turned the match, although they were outplayed. Otherwise, they're a decent footballing side.

Of course the Rags were far better, and while being respectful to your knowledgeable pal.....i too have watched almost all their games this season, and they definitely were not at it like they can be.THB was making silly mistakes,he was caught out of position, and his passing was well off.

Came on as a sub with about 20 minutes left. Looks a bit of a cart horse. Right now the championship is his level.

Another deserved 1-0 Burnley win.
I'd not write of any young player from one loan. But the odds are very much against Delap making it with us. Its just the reality of the step up from youth football.

Back on topic and Burnley going like a train. The only negative I can think of is that it's maybe been too good for Vinny. Needs to learn the trade a bit via some tough times. I guess that could good next season in the PL.

Got away with one a tad last night,a classic case of not playing great but grinding out the win.
First half Stoke strangled Burnley and allowed them no room to play, they really frustrated but were also annoyingly aided by the ref's inability to officiate fairly.

Second half was an improvement from Vinny's troops and they managed to scramble one across the line which proved the difference.

THB had a very good game,Muric did ok.

It will take a catastrophic collapse to prevent a return to the Prem, our Skipper has these boys on a mission that no one could have envisaged.....simply a wonderful campaign so far.

Not necessarily a negative, it was the same with Pep when he started with the youth system at Barca, people felt he had it so easy and wanted to see him go through tough times and here he is, the best manager in the world. Sometimes the stars just align perfectly.

A tactical and technical approach to the game, Good team spirit, a couple of hardworking players, an adventurous mindset and some decent man management skills can do wonders at any level.
