Vinny doing a great job change the style of play.

But I must admit to being split. I want Vinny to do well, but as their fan base I want them relegated. First game back, throw a vape at Lewis, fan gets onto the pitch. They can just piss off.

Obviously it was only the first game, but if they play like they did in the first 45 minutes all season they’ll stay up comfortably.

Not many clubs have the quality to punish like City. They will need to get in a set piece coach though to stop them haemorrhaging goals.

I was in the Burnley section and more booed than clapped. Certainly noticeable when they took the knee.

Vinnie had to almost be apologetic for them by saying at least less boo now than they did a year ago. Shameful they have a black manager who has brought them success and that’s how the fans react.

A bit tactically naïve again from Kompany against us. If we were fully into our stride in, say, September, I think we’d have trounced them last night for 6 like we did in the FA Cup last season.

I thought they were wide open at the back but our decision making, close control and passing let us down in creating more goals because it was so early in the season and we’re not up to speed.

Still, they look to play football and their press made it a struggle to play out from the back in the middle section of the first half.

What the hell was that fan who ran on thinking? 3-0 down with minutes to go. Stewards dealt with him very efficiently. He was down in a flash.
