Burnley v CITY - Official Match Thread

Won't be an easy game, gonna be very difficult, they need the points, we need to show some passion and some positive football from the first whistle,

Burnley will be up for it, we have to match them, my team as follows:

Adebayor and Tevez don't work, Manu was awful against Wigan, RSC works well with Tevez, needs to be given a chance, Vieira dropped, no suprise as he was dire, de jong not needed, we need to win, we need to be more attacking in the game, would be a good player to bring on if we hold a lead, Nedum for LB, don't think Garrido is good enough, Ireland in the centre, we need creativity, once again another player that needs a chance.

Whats this Ade was awful against wigan crap????

He played well...considering he has had a long lay off and therefore a lack of match practise. He has missed 17 games altogether this season through various reasons.

His partnership with tevez will work and he is by far a superior player all around to RSC

Tough game this one, will be like a cup tie at their place.

There defence is really shit so we need to get at them as much as possible, whilst being responsible defensively. I would personally go quite attacking.

Garrido was never where he needed to be defensivley against Wigan, so I think Barry at LB would be a better choice. Adebayor was back to his usual self, I know he's been out a lot this season, and he is a very very talented player, one of the best in the prem, but he's back to his lazy self, he did nothing.

I would bring kompany into midfield as vieira was shocking, but we will need the height at the back, and with zabaleta suspended our only other option is Sylvinho, who I like what I've seen of as a CM.

We could also just go for it and play like this:

I would leave De Jong on the bench as I'm under the impression if he gets another yellow he misses the derby. Plus although I think he's indispensable against the top sides, against Burnley we don't really need him to break them up as much as we need someone who can create. I think Tevez and Adebayor just need time to gel.
