Burnley v City - pre-match

Can't see that line up getting hit too easily on the break, might lack a bit of creativity though depending on how restricted Dinho is.

I agree to a degree, he has looked lost but sometimes a player needs to be given a chance - as you say he seems a confidence player and perhaps a start or two may be a turning point. Certainly I trust Pep, but I am a little worried that he has quickly reverted to relying on players like Kolarov, Fernando and Sagna who I for one thought would be gone given their age and propensity to commit errors at crucial times. I suppose we will find out in 90 mins when we may be calling this selection genius!

I completely agree on the Kolarov and Fernando part of your post

I think it shows, as I've said, that there is great work to do in the summer as some of those players wouldn't and shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11.

I would hope with Sane that we start to see him more but i think it should be in home games where we are winning and playing well and at present we are not playing anywhere near the level that we can play under Pep

They'll have 8 players in two tight banks of four behind the ball. Silva is next to useless against that sort of line-up but a bit surprised about Yaya ahead of Kev. We need to worry about the break so I think the cautious approach is best. Also I'd much rather have Sagna than Zab at FB. But we need to ask questions about what the fuck Begiristain has been doing when we end up with Kolarov and Ota at centre back. I hope Serg proves me wrong but I think he was the wrong choice here.

The problem was never the ability, it was there application under nosfaratu!!

we have already seen that in other games where Pep has selected what people may call a MP team but the way the team has played has been completely different not only in application but tactically as well

Sergio has better control then Iheanacho and will hold the ball up better to knock back for Yaya's hat-trick ;-)

the one thing about Yaya is that he has that ability more than Kev or Silva to produce a worldy out of nowhere......he could play shit for 89 mins and still do it.....I would rather have the other two virtually all the time but sometimes when the team aint playing well its Yaya (even when playing shit) that pulls it out of the bag,....he did it last week and has done it many times before

Serge looked knackered at the end of the last game so I agree on that one and completely agree on your comments on the centre half pairing!
