I hope and expect this will be packed out.

I remember last year reading how much the players buzz off it, so hopefully this will give them a bit of a lift going into what must be the biggest match of the season so far.

With smoke bombs and flares the police will attempt to catch and fine if they are set off within the fencing and footprint of the stadium and they will use this as a reason "The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985. It is on offence for a person to enter or attempt to enter a football ground while in possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework." its an easy few hundred pound for them as they will just claim you're going to attempt to enter with it.

Whereas last year if they are used on the public roads they can't do anything as it's not illegal to just set a smoke bomb off there as it's harder for them to prove you are going to attend the game .

the way around it is to just set off the smoke bombs off outside gate 11 where the bus turns in, not on stadium land so they can't do anything

Then just line from that gate to where they get off the bus with everyone

The route is the same as every game... Out of the CFA North Gate, Turns left onto Ashton New road, under the bridge, down past Mary D's and the south stand, Right into gate 11 to West Reception

It is illegal there are other offences related to the highways act and firework legislation

Sure I saw this back in the day with Paul Power leading the squad from Platt Lane ..
I know they used to train over there then jog back to the baths at MR
