I appreciate that BM is a football forum, but where's the issue in mixing business with football if it helps out other Blues? I see that as a positive thing & am still struggling to see why you are opposed to it, other than you wouldn't use it yourself. I'm hoping there will be plenty of people who would see the benefit, but fair enough if you don't.

Maly, in principle I do agree that this could be a good idea and as Bluemoon over the years is evolving and diversifying into something much bigger (eg T-shirts sales, away match travel etc, ) this idea may have some merit. HOWEVER, these things tend to start off very very slowly and sometimes become a redundant area of the website, so can I be so bold as to suggest you post a "BLUE MOON BUSINESS FORUM" header in a thread in off topic and build up a "following" before the webdesigners set up a new forum. It may be successfull and it may not but that way a saves time and money. You can always "bump" the thread each week to keep it current. Only a suggestion mate.

The recession is biting small businesses need all the help they can get imo, one of the hardest things businesses face is getting new clients to use their services/products having football and city in common helps break down the cold call aspects of things imo.

Damn right it is. I work for an established IT company (Synergy Technology put the IT into CITY), but I've been brought on board to grow a new part of the business, so I am effectively starting from scratch. Dealing with fellow Blues on BM would certainly make things a little easier.

I can't understand why so called Blues would want to stop other Blues getting on/ ahead in these hard recessive times. You may be in jobs, but others aren't.

For what it's worth, Maly, I think it's a good idea and MAYBE Ric, with his Socialist principles, may consider it as help for fellow site Blues that need it.

What business are you involved with?

I have been working for myself selling ppe into the construction industry but times are hard and i'm going into new ventures and looking at different opportunities!!

I'm just in the process of setting up a small loan brokerage helping people who can't get finance, i'm doing this by way of customers finding guarantors to back their loans, just awaiting a consumer credit licence!

Also i'm about to become an telecommunications cisco selected partner selling voip and hardware solutions to help cut business outgoings whilst retaining a quality system.
