I have been working for myself selling ppe into the construction industry but times are hard and i'm going into new ventures and looking at different opportunities!!

I'm just in the process of setting up a small loan brokerage helping people who can't get finance, i'm doing this by way of customers finding guarantors to back their loans, just awaiting a consumer credit licence!

Also i'm about to become an telecommunications cisco selected partner selling voip and hardware solutions to help cut business outgoings whilst retaining a quality system.

Bigga excellent post mate!!

Are you a qualified Cisco engineer? Are you looking to resell any other products or services or just Voip & Cisco?[/quote]

best of luck getting the consumer credit license, i`ve had one for 30 odd years. at the moment, since the competition committee stepped in. getting a license has become harder to obtain, with more barriers and hoops to jump through

What are peoples opinions of BlueMoon having a Business Forum added to the site? (I'm not saying it will be done, but if there is enough positive feedback, then we could approach the subject with Ric).

Personally, I think it would be a great way for fellow Blues to start forming business links/relationships with each other.

For instance: I work for the company who provide all of the IT & IT Support for City but sometimes we need builders to build server rooms or to dig trenches for cabling on new office builds etc etc. Sometimes we need to partner with other IT providers to fill gaps in our skill set, so instead of using Google I could use the BlueMoon Business Forum & try to give some work to another local fellow Blue.

Would anyone else be interested in this forum or would I be left to talk business to myself?
Often wondered WHY we did`nt have one on here, it would be self regulating, if a forum member makes a dogs dinner of a job or charges too much then its going to get adverse feedback on the forum and nobody in business wants that, on the other hand doing a good job at the right price for a fellow bluemooner is going to be a winner all round, myself and other users on here have from time to time given good advise at no charge and saved our blue brethren a tidy sum in call out and repair charges, I cannot see any problem with that, always happy to help a blue. One thing that may crop up though is NEW members suddenly appearing touting for business. Anyway hope it happens on here in one form or another, well aware of other forums for this, but on here its kinda keeping it in the family ;)

I can't understand why so called Blues would want to stop other Blues getting on/ ahead in these hard recessive times. You may be in jobs, but others aren't.

Shame on you for the negative contributions.

For what it's worth, Maly, I think it's a good idea and MAYBE Ric, with his Socialist principles, may consider it as help for fellow site Blues that need it.

But, I'm not Ric, so I don't know.
I hate so called blues also.

Exactly & very well put my friend. Referals are agreat way to do business & as you stated, something like this would indeed be self regulating. Win win situation & it keeps it all Blue.

Great Idea, If you have ever had to sit at some bloody "Breakfast Club" network group then you should be up for this easy way to make contacts.

You sound really humble.

A great idea is one that everyone or at least the majority agree with ;-)

I'm not saying it's a bad idea but doesn't really do anything for me. I only click on the 'view new posts' and personally don't want to be wading through loads of 'business threads' (anymore than wading through Morrissey is great/sh!te threads).

No worries then mate!

I'm not too @rsed myself but I can ignore the threads if I want!!!!
Sorry mate, but you have misunderstood my terrible wording. I wasn't saying Damn right it's a good idea, I was saying damn right it is to the recession really biting small business on the arse.

I've had to sit through various networking events, which is why I thought a Bluemoon Business Forum might be a good idea. My company has a box at COMS, so we could even have the odd event at a game if it does get the go ahead.
