Calling all Blues in Boston / Massachusetts / New England

Re: Calling all Blues in Boston / Massachusetts / New Englan

MES, as of right now I have to take the Dedham U16s to Acton for a 1pm kickoff. Given the significance of the day we have appealed for a postponement and are awaiting a reply from the oppo coach. (I went with the Mothers' Day reason rather than the real one)

I have a Medford U16 vs Reading at 2:45 in Medford. I can make the Banshee, the U16 and the Revs game if I can convince the Mrs. that would be a good way to spend Mother's Day. :-)

Good luck to you both!

BBT Medford not in BAYS right? We, Dedham, played Natick first game of the season and I was wearing a City shirt under my jacket. The Natick coach recognized it and said "that's my team". A local, but seemed to know his stuff. The times they are a'changin'

Good luck PD. I am done with coaching so don't have to worry about that. Hope you get the postponement. I do still play though; two years ago I told my O-50's team that I was NOT playing due to the QPR game. They understood - "Ah sure you'll be no fucking use to us anyway with your fucking head in Manchester" Did I tell you it was a predominantly Irish team?? ;)

This year it is somewhat easier as the team disbanded in the fall so I am team-less. I might latch on with somebody; but not until after May 11. No sir.

Hope to be there on Sunday but the wife just started a new job and she works on Sunday from 11AM on. Which she is not happy about and may want her Mother's Day compressed into the morning. Which we can do before 10 AM. So I may have to watch at least the first half at home. We will see...

Banshee is a good ol' spot though. I will get there more often next season hopefully. And keep my winning record going; right Phil?? ;)

Was there for the Southampton game last month. 8 a.m, me, the Irish waitresses, the cook, and some Celtic fans upstairs. Where were the rest of you Boston buggers then?

I was at my daughter's early footie game in Newton as I recall.

Give us some notice when you are in town and I'm sure a few reprobates will show up...I can't talk really though as I have only recently gone to the Banshee for the first time. COC FInal to be exact. Gloryhunter me...

To be honest, this will be my 2nd time this season. (League Cup final the other)
I live 15 miles away, 40 mins by car or an hour via commuter rail and the T.

When games were on Fox the pub was ideal as I wont subscribe to Fox. Now the games are on ''free TV'' I simply set the alarm, wake up, turn the TV on in bed and watch the game!
Too many times I couldn't be bothered getting up at 6.30am to get to the bar for 7.45am on a Saturday or 8.30am on a Sunday!
For this Sunday the wife is going to have to drive me 20 mins away to get the Green line into Boston and the rag line to Dorchester as the commuter rail doesn't start until 11am :(

Come on you Boston Blues!
PS I'm looking to join an over 50's team too Bongo!
