Calling all Tories. Why do you Tory?

nah

just means Labour supporters don't work, claim benefits but have a huge TV and think the world owes them a living... all Labour voters are scousers it seems lol
I think he’s saying that he sees the Tories as being the party that supports people with his attitude, rather than Labour voters being that which you describe.

Do you have to be Tory or labour?
Can you not vote based on who offers what at the time.
I have voted labour and Tory, I don’t particularly like any people who are members of either party as they tend to be blinkered and not see further than hatred for the other party.
I prefer to go on track record rather than what a party promises. Parties don't typically promise to sell off parts of the NHS or illegally invade another country, but it still happens.

I live in a Labour safe seat (they held it by <100 votes I believe) so my vote was nullified

Regardless of having Steptoe at the wheel I could never have voted for a Labour Party who didn’t even have the ability to explain their stance on Brexit , were they going to push for a 2nd referendum? All I heard was “we’ll agree a good deal with the EU”... They must have thought they were twinned with David fucking Copperfield if they actually thought it was that easy...

The election was a binary choice between shit and shitter.. I’d say that shit won, pretty convincingly
< means less than.

Onto page 4 and not one answer of note.

Up to know it is definitely fitting my thesis.

I wouldn't class myself as a Tory as I've voted for other parties in the past however I did vote Tory at the last election (despite not liking Johnson).

The two main reasons I did so were...

Firstly, Brexit (even though I'd rather we hadn't left the EU). It needed doing after a democratic vote to do so and I found the Labour position of negotiating a deal which they would then actively campaign against before putting it to the public utterly ridiculous.

Secondly, it was a lie when Labour said that tax rises would not adversely affect anyone earning under £80K. I don't earn anywhere near that amount but with Labours plans for Corp Tax increases and abolishing the (small) tax break on dividends I'd have been at least a couple of grand a year worse off even though I earn circa £25K.

For letting us poor people buy our council houses on the cheap in the early 80’s.
Forever in your debt Margaret..
A policy with the benefit of hindsight that all but destroyed the social fabric of many housing estates, depleted the housing stock, led to a massive increase in homelessness, a banking crash and which now makes it virtually impossible for young uns to get a home and means they have to pay sky high rents to owners of former council houses.

Thatcher the fucking idiot denied Councils permission to spend the reciepts taken on new housing to replace those sold thinking the private sector would take up the slack. It was nothing short of a free market catastrophe unless you had the readies to buy for cash of course, then it was the birth of I am alright Jack society.

It was quite possibly one of he worst policy decisions of the 20th century as it sucked demand out of the economy which led to further job losses, higher debts and wage slavery, then the housing bubble and bang goes the economy and years of austerity follow, leading to under resourced public services and health provision and then 100,000 people die.

Thanks for taking part :)
