Calling notice to all Streamer & Ticker tape throwers.

as organised by the fans and not the club, would look slightly tacky if the club arranged it and come up with the idea imo, but it's nice to see the club get involved and give us their backing of it all,

this could be epic.

Yeah, I agree with you - a lot of the banners around the ground, like the 'God' ones, I think are done by the club and look a bit tacky.

The OP says the club is doing the ES (East Stand?) and the fans are getting in on it around the ground. Just wondering what they're doing in the East Stand? Thinking about getting rolls of blue crepe paper to lob... but wondered if the club would be providing?

I'm guessing they're backing the idea, not stopping it on the day?

This is what we have to do on Saturday, this will be nick from 1.20 seconds, but hopefully we will replace the spears with ticker tape, bog roll and streamers!!!

Maybe a couple of sign holders 2ft x 2ft black on white cards.........
one side says "HOLD FIRE" and the other says "LET EM GO"...i think we should be ok, just make sure the bog rolls are unfolded by about 20ft post some simple instructions.

I'm in 309, right on the edge. But I'm very reluctant to throw anything, as I'll be over looking the rags - and who can pass that chance up...

Wouldn't want to be thrown out though :(

in that case you can only throw bog rolls

if they are used and re-rolled the better

please dont dress up as fucking arabs aswell, god it will look like a scene out of the new fucking bible. I can just imagine nick whos organised this standing there and saying " and on the 7th day, nick said to his fellow blues, throw my passionate blues, throw these bog rolls and the ticker tape into the air and create a sea of blue and white"
That mate has made this all worth while, I laughed so much just what I needed.
Nick

Ok to all you blues out there, I feel I have to start a thread to explain what is expected.

The club is supporting the ES in this amazing entrance to the pitch as I posted on here at the start. So please read why it is ES if you are unsure there are reasons.

But now the whole ground is getting involved which is great, please remember we all need this to happen.

What ever part of the ground you are in bring cut up paper,streamers, rolls what ever you can but remember;

Throw it as the teams come out, I have now recieved 467 Pm's and replyed to everyone, people are bringing stuff in from every area so don't worry you are not going to be on your own.

Nick.

You say the club is supporting the East Stand with the tape/streamer/tickertape stuff? Could you elaborate on that? I sit in 211, coming over from Uni in York... just wondering what's happening. Sounds like a cracking set up.

Cheers.
Wait till you get to your seats!!! it may be every other one. But bring your own stuff as well, rolls streamers anything, cut up A4 blue and white paper cut into strips that is all you need and put in small bags to hand around.

Nick , great plan i won't be there but i will be watching with a big smile on my face you deserve a bluemoon medal for all the hard work and effort you have put in to this great idea
Also hope the stewards are searching the rags as we don't want the red flares going off again as you know they will have caught wind of whats going on and try to spoil it..

Yes mate they are helping out in all kinds of ways, but I said I wanted it to be a supporter led idea, but the guy who I have been dealing with has been brilliant, but yes bring what you can.

Nick

I've done this sort of thing before and didn't know about it beforehand, think it was just word of mouth when I got to the stadium. Really wasn't a problem anyway, almost everyone knew when it was time to throw. A few people threw early, that will always happen, but it didn't take anything away from the effect.
