Cameron vetoes EU Treaty change

I have very limited knowledge on the subject, so why exactly are the Euro countries pressing for a united Europe?

I assume they want to be United eventually like the USA with all our decisions coming from a central parliment, What exactly do they think is the benefit from this? Is it basically them wanting Europe to be effectuvely a single country like USA and China and be a Major World power as 1 rather than 20 or so small ones?

The surrender monkeys propping up a German run Europe , sounds familiar.

Sarkozy.

"If the euro exploded, Europe would explode. And in fact it's the guarantee of peace on the continent where there were terrible wars — fiercer than anywhere else in the world — not in the 15th century but in the 20th century."

Strength in numbers.
Will never work though.

Bullshit.
You're quite the eloquent debater aren't you twinkle.

You're hopelessly wrong though.

One single fiscal and monetary policy for Europe will never work.

As for "begging to join the euro", very funny. I thought you were being truthful for a second but you're not clarkieing me. No way.

So he's saying "Keep the euro or we will no doubt have to surrender to the German's again and need bailing out militarily by the Brits and the Yanks again and we find that quite embarrassing"

Bullshit.

Why is it Bullshit?

If you are talking about the next 12 months then I agree it wont work but it is inevitable that it will work, it's just a matter of time.

Five years down the line the UK will be begging to be part of the euro.

The only way the Euro will be our currency is if they put the Queens head on it and called it a pound.

Who are you Nick Clegg. The super Europe has already shown itself in its first 10 years to be a farce. All 18 countries are very different with different ideals and different ways. Germany trying to make everyone do things there way, where did i hear that the last time.

This mentality really does baffle me especially coming from France. They're a nuclear power no one and I do mean no one can touch them unless they fancy a bit of M.A.D. .

I should have just written "bullshit" I suppose to truely engage in debate at your level.

I'll try again- trying to have one fiscal and monetary policy for for Europe will never work.
