On the field City batter them, or at least, clearly best them right now.

But if both teams wanted the same player, Can City compete? They won the race for Dani Alves, Mbappe and now look set to take De Ligt. Those 3 + the 220 million they paid for Neymar, does that put them in another bracket to us and even Real and Barca?
 
They will sell Mbappe.
To Al-Ahli in Qatar for 500m and they loan him back to them.

We should sell Mangala to Mansours UAE club for a high fee too.
 
PSG is french face in Champions League football, so they get all the backing they need from Ligue 1, local media, and don't have to deal with local clubs trying to pull them down, whereas, we are deemed as the outsiders in Eng with no backing from FA and have clubs actively trying to create problems for us.

So there lies the difference imo, when we, ll sign our first 100 M player, press will make it seem like its never been done before.
 
PSG are shite and a very poorly run club despite their money, City are successful and are a model club in terms of combining investment, committment and success... PSG are no threat whatsoever to City, even more so with the demise of Neymar under their watch and their capitulation to a club as poor as the rags in the Chumps League ..
 
Yes, but other teams threw out their toys and went crying to a bunch of corrupt weasels at UEFA to change the rules so that we couldn't.

Hopefully in the next year or two and after a few days in court these snivelling bastards and their media lackeys will be grovelling to us for positive stories about our latest £350m signing and permission just to even smell a chicken balti pie.
 
"Can" is not the word. More like "won't." I think our owner is more subtle and long term in his thinking. Despite what the Rags and Lpool would like you to believe, City seem to have a policy of being quite cautious with both transfer fees and wages.
 
Let’s not be hypopotopi. They have money, we have money, others have money. They use more more, we use more or less, others use much less less.
