I cannot believe that City got involved with a bid for Kaka without having a good idea if the lad was seriously interested or not. It could be that he doesn't move but there are a few things that don't add up. I think this story has a little longer to run.

as i remember during the Sheiks aquisition of the club you seemed to be able to answer more than most. Do you have any 'extra' knowledge on whats going on because it just all doesn't add up.

All seems so strange to me.

Cooke has been sanctioned to increase our cash offer but not increase the budget put aside for personal terms.

The board are convinced that Milan cannot turn down such a strong offer and are shocked that any club is turning their noses at 100M!

Call ended 20 minutes ago and Cooke was unaware of the 'statements' Kaka has made until the board told him what they where getting from Rueters!

I repeat - the Club is doing everything possible to land him - but I tell you something else:

IF we don't land him we will land a BIG one - I have always said that club wants at least one BIG name and you should be happy in the simple fact that they have shown their committment to the club and fans with today's actions.

I am not going to defend my self - I have quoted what I know and have quoted these things way before the 'press' - I know who I am and what I am - and I am not a WUM..

The Reuters connection doesn't seem correct. As far as I can see (and I have scanned my Reuters terminal) the story on the Reuters was after the news broke elsewhere (such as bluemoon!!!!) and also contains a guarded;

So the news breaks at the sametime as me - so what we are talking the biggest story on sports today and everyone is watching everything!

The deal is ongoing - the statement came from Rueters and has spread like wildfire.

We all know that the club is doing everything it can and will not give up until they get an official rejection.

There has been a call taking place and I sit and wait for an update!

Very interesting.

Trying to look at this from a detached point of view but my excitement is failing me. Something just doesnt add up. The OFFICIAL silence is deafening.

Hope im not clutching at straws but i think Sky have jumped the gun and this still has to play out yet.
