With Bertie gone, Elano going to Inter(?) and Jo going out on loan, Rob will be the only Brazilian left at the club. Which means no banter with the fellow Brazilian's at training, no popping around to each others houses and no more nights out in the Brazilian restuarants in Manchester.

All the above must have kept Rob going last season and must have played a very important part in him settleing in Manchester. With this friend's and countrymen going, we could end up with a very lonely talented footballer, who longs for home or to be with other brazilians at another football club.

What do you think?

Pretty sure that if we got Eto'o or Tevez in they would get on quite nicely.

he isnt a child, he is a professional footballer

apparantly they are all friends with anderson and giovanni also, he works for Manchester City, we are his employers, this isnt a hobby he can just not turn up for or not put 100% into because his mates are leaving

I think also its not as if he is only friends with Brazillian players, it seems there is a good spirit within our team so im sure he won't be lonely

Think if anything not having the clique of brazillians could be less of a distraction for him and we may see more from him

I am under the impression that all the south american boys, even the portugese, from the northern clubs have a bit of a 'community' going up here so i don't think he'll be short of friends. Any way from the pictures i've seen of him in training he seems to be having a good time with the other non-Brazilian players too. Also i'm sure the money he is on will put a lot of his worries to one side!

wouldn`t be suprised if robbie goes theres a story on mcfc saying that hughes would be prepared to let him go if the right offer comes in.

The story on MCFC is in the 'What the Papers say' section. Its not an MCFC story and its total bollocks.

If we signed Kaka, Tevez, Messi, Eto and Villa plus got at least 50m for Rob I could handle him leaving, just.

Won't happen though, selling him would be a huge step backwards and let's not forget that he's a major selling point for the club. Remove Robinho from the equation and we're a lot less attractive to fair weather foreign fans, sponsors and super star players alike.

said from the start if we lose elano, robiniho wont be far behind him!

think hughes should swallow his pride and just get on with elano, he's quality and was touted as the start of the new Brazil!

i personaly not in any group hughes in or out! for me he still has to prove himself..

i just think he lacks the man management aspect to the job, and will strugle with quality players.

i don't see elano becoming a prick over a season he played fantasic under sven, if sven could get the best out of him why can't hughes?
