Can Rob Handle Being The Only Brazilian At The Club?

I reckon if Elano goes it won't be a bad thing at all. Like other's have said there are plenty of other Brazilians around and we don't all hang out with our work mates!

I could be good for City mainly, but Robinho too, because their relationship seemed like a clique (and bordered on homo-erotic) at times, and it separated Robinho from the other players a bit.

Elano's a great player but he's moody and seemed like a disruptive influence in the dressing room especially when he's not in the team, which he isn't going to be, so it might be best for everyone if he goes!

Onwards and upwards!

TBF I worry about this alot with Robinho, but then again he's a professional footballer on alot of money. So he cant just moan because there isn't another Brazillian in he squad. Its about being a TEAM so he needs to start getting on with everyone really.

I really like Robinho and hope the guy can stay.

quality player who creates timeon the ball! gets caught sometimes yes, but ask yourself, where would we have been without his goals this season! so your post is nonsense and he is a must keep
qul

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, WRONG!

Yes he scored a few useful goals for us this season BUT at that point we had no opportunity to get in a decent replacement. Even then he only made the first team squad due to injuries to other players. Most of his goals were from the spot too... (granted he is a great penalty taker)

With a full transfer window in front of us we can (and will) buy better players with much better attitudes.

I would be MASSIVELY surprised if Inter did actually go for him and even more surprised if he ended up a first team regular there. Frankly I think it's going to end up like January with Elano moaning in the press and trying to engineer a move and then having to face the fact that no really decent team actually wants him.

Hopefully that blow to his ego might make him realise that he is better off staying put, working hard and becoming a solid part of the squad. Peversely him doing so might actually make him appealing to other teams... time will tell.

If Robinho goes its a step backwards IMO and the players we have brought in are just not on the same level. makes me wonder if we've not become a selling club again with Studge. Elano, Dunne, and Petrov all rumoured to be leaving.

Sorry mate, but I'm absolutely laughing at the comment of us being a "selling club"

What total, utter fucking tripe......!!!!!

hughes is not obsessed with" grafters, more with quality. A lazy player is not a quality player. If we sign more like Barry then i believe robbi will become one of the greatest brazillian players . last season the squad was unbalanced,he was often isolated,often had two or even 3 treading on him. With threats from all over the pitch teams will not be able to do that,he will thrive and score freely and create chances for others ,he will be clapped by fans at away grounds and be adored at COMS .We've seen nothing yet. The management have a big part to play in looking after foreign playe'rs off-field matters , and i am confident City will be professional in this matter, keeping the family happy is very important in keeping the player loyal. A few chants in portugese would be good as well :-}

Excellent answer and I agree with everything you say. I just wish I was as confident as you, we are linked with quite a few players (Lucas Neil for one) which I can't see as better than the ones we are letting go,
Barry Bridge and Given have been great signings for me, not sure yet about the rest. It's about opinions I guess.

Ignore who we are linked with and look at who we sign, that's my advice.

but rest assured, mate, rest really assured that we are not a bloody selling club!

We are actually the furthest club from being a selling club in the whole world. And that is not an exageration.

Can't believe all you lot who would be happy to see Robson leave. I would go out on a demonstration Kaka-style if Hughes wanted to sell him personally!

to be honest, all things considered, I don't think he will leave this summer at all - he'll want to see what impact any new signings can have on the team.
