I did the stadium and the surrounding area for my dissertation, Bradford is the ward it's in, and Beswick is the housing estate further south.

So what area are you saying the stadium is in ???

I know they spent a lot making the old colliary shafts safe a few years ago but putting a tall building on the collar site would have to have very deep piles and if things go wrong could endanger the structural integrity of the stadium itself..

I worked at Bradford Colliery. The stadium itself is not built over the mine shafts but our ground is in Bradford and it's definitely a barm.

It is Bradford. I live in the flats just opposite on Alan Turing Way and my address is Openshaw. Council then with all the new developments called the area Eastlands. Stadium built over the old Bradford coal mine.

It's Bradford. The gasworks are 'Bradford' gas works. Eastlands was just a modern/media creation.

There is a large sign virtually opposite the ground which clearly shows where the ground is situated. It's in Asda.

I came in late on this one but it's Bradford, Manchester 11 (fact)
Mary D's was Bradford Labour Club (Bradford Conservative was opposite)
I lived behind the Eastlands Bar (Queen Victoria) and went to Bradford Memorial Primary School just 100yds away
The actual pitch area was Bradford Iron Works (Richard Johnson & Nephew)
Bradford Colliery was situated on the spare land between the stadium and Asda
