Can the derby date be changed?

I shall have the proper hump if they do. Those of us reliant on Beardy Branson to get to games have a choice to make, which is get in there quick (particularly with cup games) as soon as dates/draws are made, and try and snaffle a cheap ticket, or wait and wait til it's all confirmed, safe in the knowledge that that pretend Liberal will have long since ramped the prices up by then. I gambled and lost on Wigan not getting moved to the Monday night already, cos advanced tickets are non-refundable, and I've already got the whole family booked on the last train out of Dodge on the Saturday evening of the derby!

The way I understood it is if City and United went through, we cannot both play on the same night so one of us would have to play on the following Tuesday, meaning Saturday was the only option.

It can't be 12:30 because that is BT's. Sky's only game on a Saturday is 5:30.

I think the police would prefer it to be early KO on the Sunday which they will move it to if we play Wednesday, but the only way I can see that happening is if they get lucky with the draw or try and do a deal with UEFA (unlikely).

Sat 12:30pm is actually the Sky slot, BT's is the 5:30pm one ...

Hope it stays at 5.30 I’m holidaying in Norfolk the week before so it gives me more time to get back

Posted this in the Brighton Date thread but useful for this one as well ...

Here's the remaining calendar for those still confused:

16 Mar - Fri - 11:00am - CL QF Draw - LIVE on BT Sport and Eurosport - The derby date would be confirmed an hour or so after this draw when the CL ties are announced.
31 Mar - Sat - 5:30pm - Everton v City - LIVE on BT Sport
3/4 Apr - Tue/Wed - 7:45pm - CL QF 1st Leg - LIVE on BT Sport
7 Apr - Sat - 5:30pm - City v United - LIVE on Sky Sports (This is a BT Sport slot but they don't have this gameweek, Sky picked this weekend as their top pick early on)
10/11 Apr - Tue/Wed - 7:45pm - CL QF 2nd Leg - LIVE on BT Sport
13 Apr - Fri - 11:00am - CL SF Draw - LIVE on BT Sport and Eurosport
14 Apr - Sat - 7:45pm - Spurs v City - LIVE on Sky Sports (Sky has used one of their FNF or MNF slot for Sat night instead citing CL midweek)
17/18 April - Tue/Wed - 8:00pm - FREE DATE - Strong possibility for Brighton
22 April - Sun - 4:30pm - City v Swansea - LIVE on Sky Sports (Subject to change depending on if Swansea can beat Spurs this weekend in FA Cup QF and proceed to SF stage)
24/25 April - Tue/Wed - 7:45pm - CL SF 1st Leg - LIVE on BT Sport
29 April - Sun - 2:25pm - West Ham v City - LIVE on Sky Sports (Subject to change depending on if City in CL SF and which days they play the two legs, both around this fixture)
1/2 May - Tue/Wed - 7:45pm - CL SF 2nd Leg - LIVE on BT Sport
5 May - Sat - 3:00pm - City v Huddersfield - PL Trophy Presentation Day - Bound to change for TV, so most likely pick for Sky Sports for Sunday 6 May
8/9 May - Tue/Wed - 8:00pm - FREE DATE - Alternative for Brighton, but more likely for Swansea game should they proceed to FA Cup Semi Finals.

13 May - Sun - 3:00pm - Southampton v City - Date/Time won't change even for TV picks, but ours is probably not going to be on TV as all done and dusted by then.
19 May - Sat - 5:30pm - FA Cup Final - LIVE on BT Sport and BBC One
26 May - Sat - 7:45pm - CL Final - LIVE on BT Sport

Yeh, not my best on reflection. Anyway, book Virgin train early, Virgin train be cheap. Book Virgin train late, cos TV companies be dilly dallying over kick off times, Virgin train be expensive, cos profiteering beardy bastard Branson put prices up. So sometimes if fare be cheap initially, it be worth gambling on buying train ticket without kick off time being guaranteed. Sometimes this tactic pay dividends, sometimes it backfire and you be left holding a train ticket but have no game to go to (Wigan being a prime example). Capiche?

With Chelsea going out there remains a 50% chance of it being moved, including the possibility of drawing Liverpool it makes no difference.

I don't think UEFA are concerned about some joggers in Trafford when deciding on dates.

WIth Chelsea out - BT SHOULD Have City playing Wednesday and Tuesday and Liverpool playing Tuesday and Wednesday - unless we play each other when it will be Tuesday and Wednesday.
I doubt our derby will be rescheduled at all. City v Utd Sat 7th April @17:30 and Everton v Liverpool Sun 8th April @14:15

BT have a huge say as to when the games will be played as they give UEFA the most cash.

Not that weekend though - all games are SKYs. Its one of their "super weekends" that they chose as soon as the fixtures were announced.
