Can the wounded animal beat PSG?

After seeing the chances Chelsea had against them, given their current form, it's clear they are beatable if you can defend well(that's a big if for us given our performances against top teams this season). If we can get Otamendi and KDB fit in time and the rest of the team showing some kind of form(Mangala especially) then we can do it... that will give us options and make us less predictable.

Also shouldn't Delph be back soon? We were given the estimate of 6-7weeks for his Achilles injury on the 12th of Feb which would mean would be around the end of this week and next, I still don't get why we haven't seen him and Fernandinho in a midfield 2 more often. Still that could be a boost for us if he can get fit in time. It's quite clear looking at who we just have coming back now(never mind who's still on the bench or just joined it) and the difference they could make, how hard injuries have hit us this season. It's never good having to rush players back for a big game as sometimes they get injured straight away from overdoing it and sometimes match sharpness takes a few games to arrive so they end up being more of a hindrance.

Anyway midfield of 3 if Yaya plays(put him in up behind Aguero if Deph is in I say), Silva in the number 10 or KDB in the number 10? Do we move Aguero out on the left to cut in so we can play Bony up top? Do we try Kelichi in the number 10 with a front 3 of KDB, Silva and Aguero? We have options so I want to see Pellers try and surprise them, he did it in Kiev with Fernandinho's position and it worked well. Give the players something new to work with and they start being more creative as they are harder to predict from the off.

We will need to have Otamendi and Hart fit as well as KDB firing on all cylinders at the very least IMO. Keep it tight in the first leg, try to nick an away goal and who knows what might happen.

It's hard to envisage a scenario in which we can beat PSG over two legs. Obviously anything is possible in football, but it'd take a pretty remarkable sequence of events I suspect.

Unless there is a huge turn around in terms of our performance then it's difficult to see anything other than an absolute pasting, certainly in the away match and quite possibly in both. Our cup performances have generally been better than the league ones but I still really don't fancy us against half decent teams considering we are currently playing at the level of a team like Newcastle. Add the potential for some classic Pellegrini nonsense, Bony upfront, Demichelis at centre back, two in midfield etc and it could be horrific.

The problem is you can't rule out Pelligrini playing Yaya in 2 man midfield yet again . Silva wouldn't suddenly regain his magic and KDB will be half fit if he plays . We need a miracle.

I don’t think it would be that remarkable. We play in Paris first so that is a huge bonus, assuming we can put out a back 4 of Sagna, Oto, Mangala and Clichy and play Yaya, Fern and Fern all holding in front them that is a solid team and easily capable of getting a clean sheet. I’d be tempted with KDB and Navas to make it a 5 man mid with lots of energy and pace and Aguero / Nacho leading the line looking to hit on the break. Easily capable of stealing a 1-0 away. Even if we lose 1-0 that would still set us up nicely for the home leg where anything could happen on the night.

It does depend on us setting up to be hard to beat which we never do but stranger things have happened.
