Can we get Aguero to take penalties in future?

If Tevez is on the pitch then I'm sure he will continue to take them, if not then I'd like Aguero to do them. There is a poll on the MUEN website asking who the top scorer in Manchester will be this season. Last time I checked Aguero was on 40% and Shrek 38%. I personally think Shrek will get more. Why? He takes their penalties. Personal awards don't bother me one bit though.

If Tevez takes another penalty then Mancini cannot moan about us not taking our chances. I'd have more confidence in me scoring a penalty than Tevez FFS.

The only reply that seems to think Tevez should continue to take our penalties. The main arguement I can see for this is to improve Tevez's confidence by not "undermining him".
If Mancini really wants City to score the penalties and make the games "safe" he must recognise Tevez is not the best penalty taker!

Just a thought I had

Would Tevez taking penalties have anything to do with him being captain?

or would that be a straight Mancini decision or would Tevez pull rank when one came along?

We've actually got quite a few really good penalty takers in the squad. Balotelli scares the shit out of me when he takes them, but he's calm and seems to know what he's doing. Milner and Barry both have a history of taking penalties particularly well. Aguero strikes the ball cleanly so you'd assume he's a good penalty taker too.

Tevez, however, has never filled me with confidence in his penalty taking. I said as much prior to him missing against Wigan and was disappointed, although unsurprised, to see him miss.

Mancini himself could do better than our ex-captain. Imagine Mancini wearing his Italian suit blasting the ball past De Gea.

The thought of it makes me tremble :)

I understand what you're saying but the same can be said for Mario, taking the penalties would be good for building his character.

i seem to remember milner took penalties at villa rather well, and free kicks from the edge of the box
