Maybe, but other than those 2 goals, what has he done in the last 3 games apart from get in the way of Aguero!! He is not a world class striker for me.This isnt a dzeko bashing session this is just an opinion of a potential area we could improve
Assisted Lescott against Tottenham, great run when Nasri scored (look where the defenders went), shoud have had an penalty yesterday and sa great ball to AJ that should have resulted in a ticket to Wembley. What more do you expect? Some good looking robinho-moves that result in nothing??

Don't try to convince him AgueroO. He's made up his mind Dzeko is shit, and refuses to see it any other way. He'll dismiss his large goal numbers, and flat forget all of the assists.

Guys like him is slag him all day, then he'll score, and they'll apologize for 5 minutes, and then they'll slag him off the rest of the day. I'm used to it by now.

That's rich coming off you, who smell roses when he has been playing shite. The cheek of that, unbelievable.

He's playing like shite?

You were too busy railing on him to notice that he scored the goal that would have put us through to the Carling Cup final yesterday. He also scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Wigan that kept us 3 points clear of MU last week.

Do try to keep up with the current events.

He is good enough, we don't get enough crosses in the box for him to get onto, prime example the Tottenham game away, banged in crosses and he scored 4, he's not like Balo and Aguero who like it to feet, he'd prefer to run onto it, and his passing is great (one to AJ last night, one to AJ at Arsenal etc)

Won't find many better 'Target Men' with the passing and (on his day) touch he has, and still fairly young, Keep every day of the week, and sign a winger who will bang crosses onto his head (Bale, or even Valencia or a player like them)

Harshest critics on this forum of any critics in this month of January. Harsh on Mancini, Nasri, formations, etc...

But as always on Dzeko.

He hasn't been in the best form, but a player of his ilk, doesn't look great even when they're playing well.

It's unrewarding work most of the time, battling for the ball, often when alone against 3 or 4 defenders.

I think of the criticism for him at least 30% of it is over the top and unfair.

After all, he's been playing badly this month, but scored 2 goals, 1 of which secured us 3 points in the league - our priority.

Great player does far more than he gets credit for Nd I have seen him slagged on here when he has been our best player ie Napoli. The mentality of some fans is that some players will get victimised and slagged whatever they do, usually because of a lack of understanding if all facets if the game .

Main example for me is the idea that if you are not big and incredibly fast you must be rubbish, Barry is the worst example - consistently a great player for us and one of the first names on the team sheet yet countless threads have slagged him. Nasri another adds a lot to us, sets up chances, has a bit if pace and worries teams, even yaya gets slated despite the fact he is close to the best in the world at what he does

Sp dzeko is not playing his best at the moment but he is a top player and a confidence player and i don't understand the obsession with slagging him.

Edin tries like fuk and wants to be good, just has not got the touch and skill. He doesnt see the link passes that aguero and silva play, he is one step behind.
The lad hits the net though and important goals to. His will to play, commitment and stay fit attitude is a saviour at the moment while tevez slopes off and balloteli is out either injured or banned !
But he is not what we need as a first choice striker, we desperately need another Aguero, does he have a brother !!

Dzeko has a few faults. Poor first touch, dosent use his size and strength as well as he should he seems to get bullied off the ball quite easily and his movement and positioning is often poor.
If adebayor had his work ethic and mentality you would have the perfect striker.
I don't want adebayor back don't get me wrong but I don't think ultimately edin will fully succeed at the club.
For me the perfect striker for us is Cavani he has the skill and power of adebayor and the mentality and work ethic of dzeko. The best of both worlds if you like.
But I will continue to support dzeko and hope he comes good consistently I have my doubts though. There is little point slagging any player off while they are still with us. For me Dzeko, kolarov and Savic aren't up to the job but that's just my opinion. I will not be on their backs in any way whatsoever and hope they prove me and a few others wrong come the end of the season.
