Dzeko has a few faults. Poor first touch, dosent use his size and strength as well as he should he seems to get bullied off the ball quite easily and his movement and positioning is often poor.
If adebayor had his work ethic and mentality you would have the perfect striker.
I don't want adebayor back don't get me wrong but I don't think ultimately edin will fully succeed at the club.
For me the perfect striker for us is Cavani he has the skill and power of adebayor and the mentality and work ethic of dzeko. The best of both worlds if you like.
But I will continue to support dzeko and hope he comes good consistently I have my doubts though. There is little point slagging any player off while they are still with us. For me Dzeko, kolarov and Savic aren't up to the job but that's just my opinion. I will not be on their backs in any way whatsoever and hope they prove me and a few others wrong come the end of the season.
I usually don t repeat myself, but i ave too since many online managers ave the same thoughts like this poster.
1. Dzeko doesn t ave a poor first touch, that s just wrong. Actually from all those SF-type Strikers, with Benzema, Dzeko has the one of the best first touches.
1.1 Adebayor did exactly use hes strenght at Real Madrid nd what i saw from Spurs, now tell why the nominatlly best Club Coach in the world didn t wanted him when Real Madrid was in need of strikers. This point you re heading into is ridicilous.
2. Adebayor is my opinion is so overrated by some blues, seriously hes an uncontrolled serial fouler which would add nothing into a dominating team.
3. Cavani, nd you ave to understand is playing under an counter-attacking gameplan where s the focus of all Napoli s actions. Lavezzi is working hes ass off around the Box, leading every counter attack, which takes the pressure from Cavani all day. But when Napoli has to made the game, belive me i ave seen them enough to be safe on this, they struggle to score - i doubt the perfect striker would act in the box like hes Andy Caroll.
4. You opinion is fair enough, it s most sprayed on this forum - tho it s wrong.
4.1 Dzeko is proven striker. He doesn t ave to prove nothing more, especially not to those moaning ones, who come after 5 mins to apologize nd then after 2 3 bad perfomances start the same shit.
4.2 Kolarov is an weapon which under the right tactical setup can be amazing. He needs a stabilized system around him, shouldn t be left to invidual actions. In the right system nd backup gameplan, Kolarov if used right can be gold worth.
4.3 Savic is 20, ffs the lad is allowed to make mistakes. If you want to blame someone here, do it on Mancini coz hes the one letting him play.
We ave to separate things here, we aren t playing the best tactics in the world, Mancini isn t clearly a Match-Gameplan master but hes making hes decision with long-term actions, that s why 22 Players are in the squad. On the end, every manc has to ask himself, do i want to win the league (or something) now with a great coach or should we stay with the stuff that s there nd try to think longer than 5 minutes - means become a top club nd try to win the league (INSERT Champions HERE IF YOU WANT) every year. That will only happend if the SAME PLAYERS PLAY FOR A LONGER TIME TOGETHER, nd we know they didn t play together before in other clubs.
Ps. Last week i said, Dzeko needs to work on hes position play (getting quickly in the 5m box, when silva took the shoot there) nd has to expect the ball all time, so has to be in position - nd bam! in liverpool 2-1 was exactly what i wanted from him to do often.
