7th place may become a UEFA Cup spot this season if a Chumps league team wins the FA Cup and the Rags win the Milk Cup this Sunday. Are we capable of grabbing that 7th place??

At time I think yes, but I guess we all need to see the constancy away from home, but yesterday was a good start. It's another 'If only' season with us, and the biggest is the stupid games we lost at crapholes like Stoke. I still think we lack strength up top, and maybe MH needs to change the formation away from home for games like Everton, West Ham etc. We have the tougher teams away, but if we can pick up maybe another 7 away, and continue to get results at home we could be in with a shout....

The flip side to the fact we've played the lesser teams away, means we have Bolton, WBA, Sunderland, Fulham (although decent now) and Blackburn at home. We should be able to get results (not being over cocky) against these teams. I feel another 21 points should be do-able and would take us to 53, which was close to our end points last season (55) but the Prem is a lot tighter this season.

PS - I don't think you do, but if you win the UEFA do you get into it next year??

If we perform like we did in the 2nd half for the rest of the season and sneak draws against our tougher opponents and win the winnable ones then it should be possible, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

Are we only 3 points off? Surely we can, 7th will only mean something if the rags beat spuds on Sunday though.

I think it will depend as much on the teams around us as it will ourselves. Winning every home game from here onwards would be a good start, West Ham away is a must win if we want 7th.

I don't think we can make 7th, yes we played well yesterday, but I still don't see us winning away from home again this season. We are all happy with the Liverpool point, but if you had looked at the last 6 away games Fulham, WBA, Blackburn, Stoke, Portsmouth, Liverpool and said we would only pick up 3 points that would have been a very disappointing haul.

I seriously think were capable of it, just depends on how consistent we can be, but as Lesley keeps saying his coaching techniques help players in the 2nd half of the season, so we shall see!
