Can we make 7th place

We're 3 points off 7th, with 12 games to go.

Of course we fooking can. Wigan are shit and were on a good run until the rags then us beat them, been shit since, west ham arent doing too badly but we're better.

We need to beat West Ham to get some confidence on the road. Id say all our remaining home games are winable, even Villa.

West Ham United A - 3 points
Aston Villa H - 3 points
Chelsea A - 0 points
Sunderland H - 3 points
Arsenal A - 1 point
Fulham H - 3 points
West Bromwich Albion H - 3 points
Everton A -1 point
Blackburn Rovers H - 3 points
Manchester United A - 0 points
Tottenham Hotspur A - 1 point
Bolton Wanderers H - 3 points

24 points - 56 in total - which i think will be enough for 6th or 7th this year.

Remaining fixtures

West Ham A
Aston Villa H
Chelsea A
Sunderland H
Arsenal A
Fulham H
West Brom H
Everton A
Blackburn H
Rags A
Spuds A
Bolton H

If we can win all the ones in bold there's a decent chance of it.

I'd be disappointed if we don't finish 7th

All our home games bar Villa are absolute bankers and although we probably won't get anything away to the rags and chelski, spurs are pretty shite and if we get stuck in to arsenal I see no reason why we shouldn't beat them

arsenal away is a fair chance for 3 points, villa home will probably be a loss, 7th place is there for the taking, cant see 6th though

I'd be surprised with 7th, we're just too inconsistent and while the scousers was a good result, I think we'll have to at match that against at least 2 of the other top 4/5.

i wouldn't be so confident about getting 3 points away at west ham. i watched the bolton west ham game at the weekend and ignoring the short spell where west ham inexplicably conceded two goals in two minutes they absolutely battered bolton and really should have won the game. following that performance i think 1 point would be a good result.

Bolton fan at my work says if you attack them they are vulnerable but they've got a quality left back and di Michele is also good. We musn't lose against them, it's a big game for us

It'll be between us and West Ham in my humble opinion. I think Fulham and Wigan will fall away with Fulham having to play all the 'big four' plus Aston Villa while Wigan have to contend with Everton away and home against Arsenal and United in three consecutive games at one point. West Hams run in isn't too bad so Sundays a big one!

I think there is more chance of us being 7th by Sunday afternoon, than at the end of the season. I hope I'm wrong and can start looking at 6th place in a month from now, but our past inconsistencies would suggest otherwise. Saying that I'm glad that has been our shortfall rather than a lack of key players.Hopefully Hughes can iron out the problems with form, one thing no-one can do is polish a shit.
