Can we make 7th place

If we perform like we did in the 2nd half for the rest of the season and sneak draws against our tougher opponents and win the winnable ones then it should be possible, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

I agree with that, but to do it there's no more fook ups. No more second chances We have a good record at West Ham so if we are going to finish 7th we have to get at least a draw. Villa at home will also be a tough match, but once again we have a decent record against them. 4 points out of the next six and I'll be a lot more optimistic about a seventh placed finish. If we only pick a couple of points or less up then mid table obscurity here we come.

If we maintain our current form and with Mikel Arteta out for the rest of the season, we might even be able to manage 6th place.

good thinking to loan them Jo for the rest of the season then?

It's still possible but knowing City it won't happen.

If the question was should we be finishing 7th from the position we're in then the answer would be yes.

However, before the Portsmouth game I was confident (not something I often say re City) we would beat them, go 7th and stay there. Clearly we lost and I was wrong and slipped back into my usual pessimism mode.... and then we go and get a point yesterday.

Conclusion- who the hell knows?! Depends which City turn up to each game.

PS - I don't think you do, but if you win the UEFA do you get into it next year??[/quote]

The answer is yes. Balti's "No" I think is wrong in this and other respects.

We'd enter at the group stages, pretty handy that, keeps the squad fresh throughout the first half of the season.

everton now have big probs, yeah we loaned em jo, but he is gonna have to really fight for his chances now, something he didn't do too much of for us... looking at the fixture list, i can only see 15 points for them now, that is alot of draws and 1 win maybe 2....

We are 9 points off them with a game against them and better goal difference... also we are a team just starting to get good form and confidence looks to be slowly growing.. Gelling together is happening and we have our squad fit and players returning soon.. all in all i truelly believe we can nip in for 6th place

a point or 3 from WHU
a point or 3 from villa
Chelsea???? never know 0 if they are good, 1 if not
3 points home sunderland
arse?? we could do the double on them, they haven't looked too good this season and we done em once already 1-3 points
Fulham 3 points
West brom 3 points
Manure??? we have more chance then any other team in the world of beating these at SWAMP 0-1-3 any of them possible
Spuds home form is fewest goals but 1 in the league, if they come out attacking we could rip them apart for revenge on our patch when we got a player sent off when looking very comfortable for the win.. 3 points??
Notlob?? we may need to win this game for 6th place and i think at home we really will.. 3 points

12 easy points + 16 possible points

My estimate is 24 points we have to make up on the season to win 6th off everton...
we have 28 possible points to gain 12 easy and 16 from 6 other games we could get points from. GAME ON... Nothing ever comes easy to City

C.T.I.D starting to believe!!!! 6th is attainable 7th should be a formality
