Can we really look forward to a game anymore?

Even though we played crap away last year our home form was fantastic and a pleasure to watch!

I cant sy that this season :(

If we can leak 3 goals against Burnley and 1 against Hull, Chelsea could score anything in between this or even more. We wont keep a clean sheet against either Arsenal or Chelsea so as with every game at the moment its about trying to out score the other team on the day.

We should be able to score more against an Arsenal youth team but i cant see us scoring more than a confident Chelsea.

The most frustrating thing is to see how so many excellent players are not growing stronger as a team as time goes on but you can actually see the lack of confidence and they seem to be working less as a team with every passing week. If and i mean its a big if, MH can sort out the mess the team is in at the moment i think he would have justified the sometimes blind backing the owners and board have give him. But i unfortunatly i think and he seems to be proving he is a long way out of his comfort zone and far out of his depth.

It was and could have been a master stroke giving an ex Utd legend the job but it just doesn't seem to be working and i for one see no improvement on last season even after £200m+ spent.

A lot on here won't believe this but with a heavy heart it is time for MH to go and a new man to have a try at getting the full potentail out of the club.

It could and should have been a dream season but its very close to December were leaking goals, the team has no confidence, were sliding down the league and look like a mid table team at best, when we have the funds and players to be a top 4 side at the worse. The only part of the club that does not seem to have top 4 skills is the Manager and coaching staff.

I still look forwards to every match, we've got such a high calibre of player playing for us now, even when we lose i really enjoy watching them play, we get to see things from our own team now that that we've only seen regularly from opposition teams in the past.

I'm not just talking about brilliant goals, i mean little bits of skill, great touches, composure on the ball etc.

sarcasm yeh

Nope

Am I right in thinking we can't draw against arsenal as there has to be a winner on the night

how many goals in the prem have been outstandingly brilliant then, wheres the brilliant play? because i dont think ive seen any of it. the calibre of players are only good in a match when there is a manager who gets the best out of them. and what has been different, class and play wise tht is compared to other teams

because i dont think i can really, i'm honestly going into the chelsea game with the mindset that if we lose less then 2 goals that will be an achievement. the way we are playing is absolutley shit, and bloody dire to watch. i was down for he fulham game, and i dont think ive ever been so bored in my life, the play was awful and painful to watch. i watch mostly every game on the internet and i dont think ive seen one game this season where we've been more then half decent, apart from the arse. anyway, from our recent performances i dont think i can be seriously hyped up and excited for a game, especially for a game against a bottom half team. i would normally (and so would most of you) go into a game against a botom half team thinking we will win 3-0 with the squad we've had. not anymore, i dont think that i can unless there is a huge change in team performances. its dire at the moment. you just have to look around, rags winning away to portsmouth 4-1, we win 1-0 when they were worse, west ham winning 5-3 having been 5-1 up, and us drawing 3-3. we are just so average against lower table teams.

very dissapointing and boring to watch and look forward to
TBH Jonny, I know exactly where your coming from and as soon as they scored today, I put my head in my hands, swore at the Hull fans and thought the same thing as what you put in the OP.

And the thing is, we can though! Arsenal game will be brilliant, Im not looking forward to it atm, but will be in a few hours.
