I agree with an earlier post in the thread that the 3 man midfield (or need for a detroyer) is already becoming a thing of the past for the top teams.
Bayern, Dortmund, Real, Juventus and to a lesser extent even JM's Chelsea now appear to implement a more fluid 442 system (sometimes resembling a 4231 depending on personel).
We're no longer playing catch up. We are now at the top table and we need to constantly evolve. 451/433 is now being implemented by teams like Liverpool, Everton, Swansea, Southampton etc.
We may still see 451/433 formation for us at times this season, but I'd wager it will only be seen away from home against the best clubs while we are still getting used to the new formation/tactics.
