Can we win the title this year... do you believe or not?

If Bobby can permanently resolve the comedic defending issue, yet retain fluency going forward... We simply aren't going to see many more than the current '2' in the L column. The next hardest teams to beat, after City are Chelsea (3 losses) and Arsenal (4 losses)- both have City amongst those- then a few teams on five.

Comedic defending was largely responsible for the conversion of several wins into draws, during that run, and assuming that we don't have any bad patches worse than that, we're a good outside bet. There are 3 tough games together from Mid Feb to early March, which might decide the season. The rest of March to mid April is all fixtures where you'd expect City to rack up lots of points, which needs to happen because the run in is pretty hard. On the other hand, said run in will mean City will have it all in their own hands if they want to push into something, come the end of the season.

I want to say yes, but i think them stupid draws have cost us, if we would of beat Hull, Fulham and Burnley we could be sat in 2nd now and tomorrow night we could of been playing to go top, we should have won them 3 drawn games.

We'd be comfortably 4th and playing for 3rd tomorrow. The difference is only 6 points ;)

I know under Bobby Manc we have played 3, won 3 and conceded none, but in Hughes' first 3 games this season it was exactly the same stats, against the same, if not trickier, opposition.

I occasionally let myself get carried away thinking we could really start working our way up the table, but in reality, i think it will still just be a struggle for 4th.

This season has shades of '68 about it. Here we are, mid season, sort of getting there but not really concentrating. Maybe we have had our mid season blip early, with all the draws.

A few wins, get the winning mentality, and like I said, it could be a repeat of '68.

It's up to the players and how much they want it. It is possible, but I think it is improbable.

But I also think, at the moment, the title is there for the taking.

We have a squad of players that on paper should be up there, so who knows?

I'm not expecting us to be champions, but it would'nt surprise me if we were. I think anything can happen at the moment.

We're in with a chance. Win the two in hand, and we're 3 points behind the Scummers. Just imagine!

The run of draws was costly, but if we win games while the Rags and Chelsea continue to throw away points, we can honestly do it.
