Cannot believe this

Threads like this make me realise why I generally won't socialise with groups of girls too. The odd one is fine but they're poison when they get together. They woman and are disgustingly jealous of each other to the point of absolute hatred. You can never tell one anything without her running to the whole group and misconstruing what you've just said too.

I think some girls realise this too. The serious Mrs Peoffrey let her clique go as soon as she met me. I used to pretend they were welcome for nights out or whatever - but she never saw any of them again.

Jesus, now there's a fuck of a tired old cliche...

It would not be an opinion I would share but what does surprise me is how many women say they prefer to work with blokes as girls can be catty and deceitful.I suppose what it boils down to is we are all a product of our own experiences to a certain extent.

No man I know can list a woman as being a close and trusted friend whilst they're in a relationship. No girlfriend of his would want her around him and the politics of even trying to have a night out is usually ruined by women either behaving like children or clearly not realising who their real friends are. I've noticed it regularly in 15 years of socialising with lots of different people.

Some of the best nights out I've ever had have just been in the company of a beautiful woman but I have also had some great times with long term male friends. If the woman can come along and enjoy it too then she's a keeper. End of.

I'm happy to spend time with anyone but too many women are just hard work. Men are more relaxed.

I've got a couple of mates in relationships with absolutely brilliant girls and they'll be the first to admit that they got very lucky because she doesn't play games or stop them going to football - but they're in the absolute minority. Pathetic men have their head turned too easily by a woman and it often destroys them. I've been there too.

My early contributions to this thread including encouraging the lad NOT to spy on her leaving the cinema because it didn't rub well with me at all. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong. I wanted to be, too.

Contrary to popular belief with some on here, I too am in a great relationship with a girl who many many believe is way out of my league, OUR relationship works for us, she doesn't give me the run around or any kind of problems at all, she stepped in to look after my daughter with me (I was a single dad for years) and eventually has taken over the Mother role completely and gets all the respect that doing that deserves.

But I truly believe it works because she knows after my past I have kept my heart to myself, so if at any point she does start messing about, giving so me problems I can and will walk away, I understand that sounds heartless and cold to some but I don't care, it's my way or no way, to be fair to me I told her that from day one and she chose to stay, she a great girl and a top parent but I'd leave in a heartbeat if I had to.
