I always thought our best chance of silverware the way we were playing was Sunday and I'm glad we won. For me we have not got a hope in hell of winning the league based on what I am seeing on the pitch too regularly. Thankfully we managed to raise our game last Wed and Sunday but it's still 4 losses and effectively a draw in those 6 games. It's not great at the moment. Thank fuck we have Villa at the weekend.

We had a cracking opportunity tonight (as it turned out in the other games) but instead of being back in the title race we are level on points with a team that has been a laughing stock all season....the Derby could be a top 4 decider (melodramatic maybe but, the way we are playing......)

If you asked me sunday, trophy, the history books remember winners not 4/5th in league and we are guaranteed european football next season dippers aren't. But tonight was shite.

I have a confession ----------------------
When I looked at our fixtures a few weeks ago (Leicester, Spurs, Chelsea, Kiev, Liverpool(cup), Liverpool I feared the worst - six defeats on the trot given our form and injuries (but I hoped and prayed that I would be wrong).
We got a trophy I didn't expect so that is satisfying BUT three league losses on the trot is totally unacceptable and two of them at fortress Etihad (now that's become like one of the houses the three little pigs built.
