We owe these one big time.

Funny thing was on the way back from Wembley our and most of the City coaches were rocking. The Wigan fans looked like they'd lost.

I want payback for getting soaked leaving the ground. I know if we'd won I would have been nice and cosy inside the ground.

Before the final, there was some talk on BM about our fans staying on at the final whistle even we lost, as a sign of respect for Wigan (unlike just about every other club whose fans would desert the place the moment the game ended). I stayed behind to do this as did lots of other blues and got really pissed off when the Wigan fans booed our boys as they went up for their medals. For me that changed my whole view of their fans, so lets give em a good hiding tonight.

And I got soaked leaving the ground.

I think he will give Micah and Silva a start other than that a lot if players need resting IMO

It's a bit of a distraction this one yes U know it's a cup and all that but are we that bothered about it?

Yes. It's a competition and I want us to win in, and the club should be taking the same stance.
Yes. We want it. Really hope the club and the players understand this! Wolves in 74 (Richards) still hurts!

Living in Wolverhampton (yes I know!) they have a club shop on the high street. Every time I go past they're playing the '74 match on video - talk about hanging on to the past :-)

I'm always in 2 minds with the League cup - it's worth winning but I would be pissed off if we lost any key players in one of the early rounds. Last year we played a weaker side against (from memory) a full strength Villa and we played shit - from that moment on it seemed like Mancini no longer trusted those players and none of the reserve players - with the exception of Pants - got a look in. The League cup for me is still the only opportunity for playing reserve players and giving them a chance to play on the big stage.

Right there with you on that one. I stayed too to clap our players, who despite being poor on the day still represent the club and were the same team more or less that have produced some incredible moments for us fans. Also wanted to give Wigan their deserved applause for winning against all odds and despite the fact they were clearly facing relegation. But as soon as they booed our players for no reason I left and hope that their club rots in the lower divisions. There is no intense rivalry between the two sides and out of respect they should not be booing the other team. There were quite a lot of City fans that stayed and clapped the Wigan players but they didn't deserve it!

Within half an hour of setting off back home our coach was also rocking. Was a right laugh.

payback time, should send them packing comprehensively imo, home from work at 8, so hopefully find a stream asap.
dont want a beating, i want a mauling of them

Definitely payback time, especially for anyone who went to the JJB in 2002 and watched us get beaten 1-0 back then.

It pissed it down on the way back home down the M6, and some of their fans came on the pitch gloating after the final whistle, walked over to where we were in their main stand, (down all one side of their pitch, because they only had a 5000 crowd on a good day back then. Then one of the cheeky basteards took his coat off to reveal his Utd shirt underneath, I've always hated Wigan since then, or anything to do with Dave Whelan (did you know he broke his leg once ?)
