Captain for next season | Bernardo confirmed (pg11)

Absolutely mental how many are saying Dias, it is Rodri all day every day. Dias needs to sort his own form out before throwing his hat into the ring. He is in the leadership group but it HAS to be Rodri

Exactly this.

Dias has it in him to be a captain one day but there’s more to leadership than looking pissed off and making tackles.

The captain needs to be a strategic thinker - Pep’s eyes, ears and brain on the pitch.

That ain’t Dias. Not yet anyway.
 
Seeing as we seem to favour a Leadership Group approach to the Captaincy these days, I’d go for:

Dias
Rodri
Bernardo
Haaland
Gvardiol

In that order.

First three were in the group this year, and there’s nothing to suggest they should be removed.

Last two are players we should be building our team around, and have been with us for a couple of years to warrant adding to the main group now.

I would say Phil too, but I think he needs to focus on getting his head together before we put any additional responsibility on him for the rest of the team.

Rubbish. He can go for an evening out; Jack would get wasted, that’s the difference.

Dias needs to up his game tho (on the pitch).
 
Rodri, need someone who won’t have his mind on Milan fashion week the whole season.
