Car Parking Season Tickets

I don't have a problem with increasing cycle lanes and making cycling in GM safer.... but it is a bit mad that they're doing it at the expense of an already shite road network.
I was sat for an hour and a half looking at completely spare lane, that we can't use. So tempted to get out and just stack the cones up.

You know how many cyclists went past in the 2 and a half hours that I was sat on that road. None. Zero. Zilch. Not a sausage.

Well done to everyone involved.

But there is the off chance that a mamil may wish to cycle his £10k pinarello along it.
Well done Greater Mancester councils, hammering the wrong people.

I’d be checking the TfGM Traffic cameras before you are committed and maybe you could find another route.
There’s 2 along the A56 iirc.
It is a complete joke by the way and should be removed .
A major trunk route from M60 to Mcr City Centre down to 1 lane for large parts, madness!

news on pies, but still nothing on parking......

Danny Wilson has been contacting the supporters clubs last night. Allegedly, contactless payment for the official car parks for now but will ultimately be an ANPR system. Stadium is also cashless and no betting in the stadium for those who like a flutter.
Someone went to the stadium today - apparently, back half of Blue car park has covid testing tents on there.

Apologies for going over old ground - I've read all the posts & tried to contact City (they've ignored all my emails on this topic), but am still unsure ... is the summary that on Saturday you just have to drive to the Blue carpark, hope that it isn't full yet, and pay on the gate ?
No way of booking any parking in advance any more ?

Like you, I travel in and park in Blue. Have done for years.
But this sounds like the only option at the moment, especially as City are dismally ignoring the issue.
With reduced capacity in the previous car parks, its only going to put added pressure on the other areas. That's also not making allowances for those people who depended on the proximity to the ground if they have mobility issues.
