Carabao Cup Quarter-Final Games 10/11 January '22

We're fielding:

Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Bruno G, Longstaff, Willock, Almiron, Joelinton and Wilson.

We have Saint-Maximin and Isak on the bench if we need them.

Longstaff really owes us a good game because I don't rate him.
My Newcastle supporting workmate reckons he's only just behind Woods for shitness ;-)

Pretty much full strength for Newcastle, they should have enough but it depends which Leicester show up.

They were poor against Gillingham so they will need to go up at least another couple of gears.

Don't want to jinx you, but I think the demise of Vardy has killed a lot of their attack. Also the ability of Harvey Barnes to hit everything apart from the back of the net.

He's got no pace, hardly tackles and rarely scores. Watch him tonight, he'll give up on balls that he could possibly get and he'll probably be closer to one of our players rather than a Leicester player.

Woods does my head in. You know, where he does that run around to close a player down. He knows damn well he isn't getting anywhere near, just looking to show he's making an effort.

Vardy is on the bench for them, I had hoped that he would start. Perez get's a lot of stick from Leicester fans but I think he's a threat if played right. He always came to life after Christmas when he was at Newcastle, it was as if somebody flicked a switch.

My main worry for us is our lack of pace at the back but it has got us by so far.

Just putting on a tenner for a hat-trick then ;-)

He's not very good at looking along the line, he's offside far too often.

I expect no shocks this round...

Utd even with a second string team will win
Foxes may bring a game but Toon will progress
Saints back of form will be a very tough game for us
Forest /Wolves should be a great game but 2-1 to the wolves
