Did everyone see the team picked for Athens? And the shift they put in? To win a really meaningless trophy. That's worth considerably less than this, in my honest opinion.
No, we'll go for this, because Pep and the team know no other way.
I never ever thought of saying it but fuck the league cup,
This season is already a hard-looking season with the Super Cup already won and the World Club Cup to come in December, So we needed a bit of luck in the league cup draw with a home tie vs a lower league team or a midtable prem team,
Away to Newcastle is probably the hardest tie you could get in the draw, A club hungry for its first bit of silverware in years and will see the league cup as the stepping stone to glory this season
Let's move on and just play a 2nd team and youth and maybe we could give them a game without too much on the tie

Forgot that. Why in God's name did he do that? Were we down to the bare bones to that extent? Kyle really isn't a centre back.
