It was around the third week in February not Spring, this time the teams finishing 9-24 play qualifiers in February, the knockout proper doesn't start until March so hopefully we finish top 8 and relieve some fixture congestion.

Near enough Spring but you got the point I was making.

They weren't really competitions that overlapped too much at vital stages but they do this season.

I've just looked at the calendar, we have 8 games in December and 8 games in January already, fucking ridiculous. Imagine a couple get postponed with weather issues.

The qrtrs of the League Cup sits in a run of games including Juventus, Rags and Villa away.

No room for it this season!

To be fair, there was a couple of consecutive seasons when we got very favourable draws in the domestic cups. I'm assuming the fourmidables season would have been one of them?
