Another strange game. Cardiff were beaten before they arrived which I think set the tone for the match. Given Pep left out the likes of Bernado, Raheem. Kun, David the result has to be satisfactory. Highlights being Kev finding his form which bodes well, Phil Foden having a most satisfactory league debut, Mahrez getting minutes and giving glimpses of what he can do, equally important time on the pitch for the likes of Danilo and Sane. Jesus needed a goal to make it a good performance but again played some good stuff.
Yes we should have had more goals but credit the keeper who made some good stops, lady luck when Foden hit the post, and the inevitable refereeing aborition when Mahrez should have had a penalty (and people are against VAR...why?).
These last two fixtures have been almost like a phoney war before the real action begins. Most importantly we take 3 points put the pressure back on Liverpool for a tricky fixture on Friday.
Only real negative was the Zinchenko injury that hopefully will not be a serious one.
