Cardiff (H) Post match Thread

Another strange game. Cardiff were beaten before they arrived which I think set the tone for the match. Given Pep left out the likes of Bernado, Raheem. Kun, David the result has to be satisfactory. Highlights being Kev finding his form which bodes well, Phil Foden having a most satisfactory league debut, Mahrez getting minutes and giving glimpses of what he can do, equally important time on the pitch for the likes of Danilo and Sane. Jesus needed a goal to make it a good performance but again played some good stuff.

Yes we should have had more goals but credit the keeper who made some good stops, lady luck when Foden hit the post, and the inevitable refereeing aborition when Mahrez should have had a penalty (and people are against VAR...why?).

These last two fixtures have been almost like a phoney war before the real action begins. Most importantly we take 3 points put the pressure back on Liverpool for a tricky fixture on Friday.

Only real negative was the Zinchenko injury that hopefully will not be a serious one.

tbh ref should have blown after 5 mins to put them out of their misery, though a nice workout for that lads :)

It’s every fucking time Jesus gets his first start in weeks, he doesn’t score. It’s the same bullshit.
He gets a run of games, scores loads, the same people disappear.

He normally gets a start in games where we’re playinb well within ourselves or have made several changes.
He shouldn’t need a run of games to start scoring he plays for one if the biggest teams and the best manager in the world if that’s not enough for his confidence then he’s in the wrong team

Pep was very, very chilled in that interview. Extremely relaxed and happy*

* so so happy.

The only reason he chested down was because he got bollocked by de bruyne 10 mins before. Look my opinion is I don’t rate him and never have obviously you do and your entitled to that opinion .

Yes Kev bollocked him. Why? Because Kev was selfish and forced him wide. Kev would never have done that with Aguero.
19 goals in 19 starts for club and country this season.
