Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Think Marvin nailed it
Too many fat contracts coming back to bite us in the arse. Dynasties like Ferguscum´s weren´t built on this. They were built on a seemingly self perpetuating desire and hunger to continue being the best

The prospect of no CL must be terrfying for many on here but it is now a realistic prospect with Spuds, Pool and Arse hell bent on getting a slice of the action and after today they must be relishing the challenge. If we accept this we might help to take some of the pressure off

For me the CL isn´t the be all and end all but for our owners it´s everything re: Abu Dhabi´s international profile - that´s why they went for MP
I am just so grateful to have seen what I have these last three years
We may have to miss out a couple of times and hope the bigger picture attitude prevails

There is nothing certain in life

Very, very, very poor deffending by MC. Can not score 4 goals every game to win.

We didn't score 4 goals this game!

Excatlly, to win these type of games we have to play stronger deffense. All three goals were too easy, can not deffend free/corner kicks.

We got beat against a spirited cardiff team, them and the crowd made it feel like a cup tie as i'm sure they will for every home game, yep i'm gutted we lost but it's too early to throw the toys out the pram, this defeat will tell manwell a thousand things about the team that he will pick up and address,he isn't called the engineer for nothing...
Not worried one bit, this season will still be as spectacular as predicted, two games in and looking forward to the third already, bring the elephant man on...
Cardiff were useless. Their main tactic was to waste time and break the game up

We lost that game. Throwing 3 points away after going a goal up against such an abject team is criminal. Players should be held responsible

Leadership and character is the issue. That's why I am really fed up with them. I can accept losing against good teams, or even bad teams when they get lucky. I can't accept strolling for 60 mins just waiting for something to happen. Are we not aware that every point counts and that we are competing against Utd, Chelsea, Spurs etc. Every point matters

The only way to put this right is to beat Hull and play like it matters at Stoke.

Abject performance , on a similiar level to southampton away last season , (mancini's worst ever team effort) ,unfair to criticize individuals because all the team under performed today , and we were beaten by a cardiff city team which on paper is hasnt got a chance of staying in the premier league , The difference was the cardiff players , played the game like their lives depended on it whilst our players knew no matter how they played they would pick up their average £100k weekly wage , Pellegrini will not accept this.
Pellegrini is bound to have a few set backs , getting used to the yard dogs of the premiership , but i am confident he will rectify our short comings with the current squad , he needs a few games , unfortunately this will cost us any chance of the premiership this year , but he will get us firing on all cylinders for the champs league , so despite todays result , looking forward to some great attacking football , and still very optimistic regarding our new manager.
Good post.

Unfortunately we needed four today, which we didn't on Monday night.

Without being ultra negative after what is just one defeat at a tough place to go at this early stage in the season.

Zabba needs to sort his shed out if he's defending corners, two straightforward goals conceded, not by "the high line" but by a fullback that I love, and who was shit twice. Come on Zabba your better than that!!

Kompany is awesome, Nasti is potentially awesome. Any pairing of the remaining make do and mend players without those two players mentioned and we are average at the back and it showed today.

Disappointed doesn't even come close to how I feel.

I've had the piss ripped out of me in the boozer, fortunately I even had all the rags checking about Mr Gibson in 1931 which shut a few up, so thanks for that info in another thread.

It's just typical City, from the highs of Monday to the lows of today we've been here before.

Mancini out! just not good enough

what the f--k does everyone expect based on everything we have seen from Pellers he couldnt organise a defence to save himself

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

yeah, disappointing is the word!

Facebook, and the other social media sites have gone into Rag meltdown, as expected!

Let's see how things end up after tomorrow, maybe a slightly different outlook!

I think saturday's performance, and then another toughie at Stoke will give us a good idea of where the team and manager are at!
