I've always assumed his hatred of GPC and the rags stems from the fact that they effectively let him go and didn't sign him permanently?

Which in my book isn't a good reason at all for hating the scum.

He hated the rags even more than we did. He was probably the first signing of the new era to really make a big impact, and for those reasons I remember him very fondly and forgive him for his golfing holidays.
